I bought a pair for my wife and was so impressed I bought another pair for myself. I have tried many varities of earmuffs and these are the most comfortable, best fitting earmuffs I have found. NRR (noise reduction rating) assumes a perfect fit. I have earmuffs with a 32NRR that do not block noise as well because they don't fit as well as the AO Safety Select Slim Ear Muffs.

I bought these for my (then) 5 month old son to watch 4th of July fireworks with. I wondered if they would fit him since they are made for adult women, but they fit perfectly! He didn't bat an eye at the loud BOOM! of the fireworks, and we have used them several times since at baseball games (for their fireworks) as well as around the house. He wears them when I vacuum, and when I use the food processor or the mixer. I would recommend them to any parent who is concerned about damage to their baby's hearing, or anyone with a baby who startles easily to loud household noises.

I mis rated these and gave them one star after being unable to figure out how to extend the strap - in fact I was about to sell them as soon as I opened the box and tried them for the first time. I thought they were too tight but they do fit on my head after adjusting them. They are light and comfy but create a light vacuum that might feel uncomfortable. That might be the case with all ear muffs who do a good job isolating external noise.
These are by no means for kids only nor are they only for women. They say they are but they're not embarrassing to wear whatsoever.

My wife and I are under 5'6", so these fit comfortably. Good sound blocking, but, like many who frequent the range, we wear plugs and muffs.

Note that these are Pelter brand ear muffs with an AO logo.

Be sure to adjust these down at the point where the wires enter the little black tubes--don't try sliding the vinyl pad.

We bought these for our 11 month old son to use at Talladega for the Nascar race in April. They worked great! We were really close to the track so we were still concerened that he would still be able to hear the noise with as loud as it is when the cars go by, but no problem. He actually still slept through most of the race, so they worked great.

I bought these to save my 4 and a half year old's ears at a Jonas Brothers concert.

She was still slightly stunned when the screaming wound up; but she managed to hear the music and sing along for the whole show...less unencumbered by the deafening sound than any of the rest of us.

It was great - protect your kids' ears at these shows!!!

I purchase these earmuffs for my 4-year old son. We had been using the small store-bought ear plugs, but they kept falling out of his ears and I had to keep re-adjusting them. My son is extremely sensitive to loud noises, and I knew he would have a hard time making it through a 9-day vacation at Disneyworld without some type of noise reduction device.
From the fist day they arrived, he thought they were really cool! He wore them outside while playing. Sure enough when we go to Disney, he was very overwhelmed by all of the stimulation, so I pulled the headset out of the bag and put them on him. His mood instantly changed! We were able to go on all of the rides without the loudness of the coasters overpowering his senses. They were also very handy for the Fireworks. I purchased a pair for my 2-year old daughter as well, but she refused to wear them. However, my 6-year old niece who was also on the trip ended up wearing the earmuffs for the plane rides to and from Florida. She has a horrible time with her ears popping on flights, and during our descent she was screaming because of the pain. I handed my brother-in-law a pair of the headsets to see if it would help, and they did helped to ease the pressure in her ears. She stopped crying immediately and said that she would not fly back home without them! One of the best vacation purchases we made.

This product is great. The ear muffs fit my 6 month old son perfectly. We used them for the first time at the race track last weekend with out a problem

The AO Slim muffs worked well for a trip to the gun range. I used them over foam ear plugs and all the loud cracks became dull thumps.

They're comfortable and well made but a little on the small side. The size adjusts and they should be good for most but be careful if you have a big dome.

We got the AO Safety Select Slim Ear Muffs so we could bring our 1 year old to outdoor music festivals (the loud, rock and roll sort). They work perfectly, just as we'd hoped. We've also found they are useful at sporting events; wearing them, he doesn't get startled by the crowds cheering that used to bring him to tears. I'm surprised he leaves them on, but he quickly got used to them. Once in a while he'll pull them off, but lets us put them back on just minutes later. Plus, we get lots of compliments because he looks so cute in them.
