4.0 out of 5 stars The Saga Continues
I always thought Bad Boy was dead right when biggie was killed. After the trial diddy went through, he soon realeased The Saga Continues which has to be his strongest album ever. The best song out of 25 tracks is the intro song "The Saga Continues". It has the best beat and the best lyrics. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the skits. Nobody wants to...

1.0 out of 5 stars The contents of B.I.G.'s wallet.
P. Diddy is the worst coat tailer in the history of hip hop. Sure he might be an alright producer, but he does not deserve a dollar he has ever made or shamelessly flaunted. I remeber that one song on the Marshal Mathers LP were Em disses everyone who has stolen money from Pac's and Big's legacy saying it's as if they had switched wallets. Well I would dare say that Diddy...

Well I would dare say that Diddy is wearing Biggie's wallet right now. Big is the only good artist on his sorry label, name one artist who is rapping about anything relevant on his label, hell even name somebody on his roster that is capable of being a flow master. I must speak plainly to all you ignorant rap fans, this is not something that you want to hear. There are so many rappers out there who deserve the money that Diddy stole from all the deserving rappers (through exploiting his friendship to Biggie). Woodie, Brotha Lynch, Mac Lethal, Atmosphere... the list goes on. But instead we have rap producers like P. Diddy forcing commercial rap on it.

"everybody is rapping like it's a commercial"

Diddy is the bane of hip hop, he represent every wordly MC that only advertise products and life styles in their songs. This is not the true spirit of rap, it wasn't founded on whoring yourself for money or at least that's the way it should be. Rap is declining, it's collapsing, even the underground is decaying. It seems like every MC on T.V. is wack, all the underground MCs will never get what they deserve (becuase the rap game is just filled with whores). Diddy will keep this sinking ship weighted, he's making it sink faster and faster. Commercialism is destroying hip hop, commercialism is destroying music! Greedy rappers high off of money and sluts, they think they are gods who are infinatly rich when we all know that the label is just lending them money to look rich. I'm sick of it. No, stop selling your damn G-unit sneakers, your not hood. Your doing you hood not good and your destroying the scene. Disgusting. Disgusting that there is nothing left to talk about other than money and sluts. Too bad that there are few mainstream rappers who want to change the game, to stop chasing money and to stop whoring themselves. They make car tires, start resturaunts, shoes, liquor and stupid clothes. They make stupid music that isn't more than a mere commercial. Yes there are still relevant MCs, there are still MCs who don't do love rap sh*t, but they are surrounded by posturing morons who chase money. Let's all hope this stops, let's all hope that mainstream rap can once again be something to be proud of. I'm not saying that every rapper who has made it doesn't deserve the money that they make, I'm just saying that most don't. Most don't becuase they exploit the music they make just for the love of money, not the love of music or creating something beautiful and able to be appreciated. Nothing but vapors of something that could have been great.

After I heard Snoops "da game is to be sold, not to be told" I thought i would never hear a worse hip hop album. I was wrong. This cd is a peice of crap and it should only be sold 4 about $1.00. If u want real rap, listen to Dre, Pac, Or biggie. They are all tight. Unlike this sellout.

"the saga continues" has got to be one of the worst records ever!!!!!! This is hip hop at its worst. I cant believe people listen to this s***!!!!! The only thing good to ever come from diddy was "No way Out" which had a few alright songs. And the work he did with biggie was tight. But all his newer stuff sucks terribly. How did this guy get so rich? Every artist on his lable blows. He's just a sellout piece of crap and so is his music.

P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, etc. etc. Why don't we all just call him "Idiot" and be done with it?
OKAY, P. DIDDY FANS... NEWS FLASH! Ripping off other people's music and sticking it into your own song is not "Art" or "sampling". This is stealing. If Sean Combs is the creative genius you all seem to think he is then why can't he compose his OWN hooks? Is it that freaking hard to write 15 seconds of music that you're just going to loop over and over again? Oh, I know, he wants to collaborate with other artists and get distinctive influences in his work blah, blah blah blah blah. Just for ONE album, just to prove HE CAN, I'd like to see him carry his own sorry butt through 11 tracks or so. What a talentless hack.
That said, this album is a poor effort even for him. Like so many others, it is essentially a collection of crappy lyrics spread like rotten strawberry jam across a collection of stolen hooks. After hearing this piece of crap (glad I heard it at a friends house and didn't buy it, ha ha) I wished (and not for the first time) that his trial hadn't gone well and that they'd thrown his sorry butt in jail. At least there he couldn't make any new albums. All I can say is hopefully Mr. Combs' next offering will be better--it sure couldn't be any worse.

Nothing hear, just the same aimless blabbing and complaining about how the streets currupted a young man. Whoa, if i could only make a song about my messed up childhood and make billions, I would be richer than these wannabe softees out int the hip hop scene.

1.0 out of 5 stars What was I thinking, August 25, 2001

I listened to this album, and I must say, it's pure garbage. The only artists that are talented in here are Faith Evens. To anyone reading this, if you call this music, you really will need to find yourself. If you want real rap, go listen to Tupac Shakur, he had it going on, P.Diddy, Puff Daddy, puffy, sean combs, whatever this guys name is, he doesn't have it going on.

P Diddy?
It sounds like something out of Donkey Kong. But then knowing Sean Combes he probably did rip it off someone else. This sad attempt at music, crossed with his endless, yet futile crusade to portray himself as a 'hard man' only reinforces the fact that he is a fool. Maybe if Puffy began to make his own music rather than covering classic songs, then maybe he would have respect.
This record only furthers his fall from grace.

1.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!, June 24, 2002
This review is from: The Saga Continues (Audio CD)
I'm still wondering why I bought this stupid record. I should have known it was going to be bad since it was by "P.Diddy". Every song on here is unbearable except for "Let's Get It" and the okay "Bad Boy For Life".The other 23 tracks...are just pure junk. Skip this dumb and pointless CD and don't even think of buying the remix version. Both were made for money and nothing else.
