sophisticated and pretty, June 11, 2009

This dress has been purchased to wear to my daughter's fall wedding. It is pretty and sophisticated. I was looking for a dress that did not look too old and "grandmotherly," as well as not the Las Vegas look and too showy. The description says the dress runs small, so I bought a larger size (12), I usually wear a 10, and the it fits well. The color is a little deeper than the picture and is not as pastel, which is fine for my needs. My concern is that the netting and sequins may snag easily on jewelry. It is also hard to see what the jacket is made of. It is the same sheer netting with sequins that is the top layer of the dress. I would have preferred a more substantial fabric for the jacket. But over all, the dress is comfortable and lightweight (important for a long day's wear) and the built in boning in the top adds shape and extra control. I received the dress only 3 days after ordering standard delivery. I appreciated the quick delivery.
