I've been using OWP since version 4.0. It is an easy and very affordable accounting system. I've progressively updated through the versions including 8.00. I was shocked, when for the first time in years printing W-2s became a problem. The state and local wages and withholding never printed. Even after calling the $4.00 per miniute help line the problem was not solved (note this is the same hardware that ran W-2s flawlessly in version 7.0).

I have been a user of OWP for ten years, and I am not as happy with this new version. I am having problems with the general ledger, which I believe is a bug in the program, and the company wants me to pay to have this problem fixed. Competing software companies allow you to download upgrades and fixes free on the internet. Peachtree should take note of this and follow suite, or they will be loosing many valued customers. Maybe they do not care!!

One-Write Plus 8.0 Is a grand dissappointment. Now that I have bought the high priced program I have to buy an extra add on to be able to do my payroll. I feel like i need to be an accounting wiz to get this program.

This package was recommended to me by my accountant. Of course, for an accountant, it might be a good program. I am not an accountant, and have no desire to learn. After installing the program and entering a sale and payment, the money still did not show up in my bank account on the register. No way I'm spending half a day to figure it out...back it comes for a refund.

I have misplaced my One Write Plus 8.0 CD and desperately need it; I have the security code. Does anyone have the CD for sale?? Thanks, Kim

OWP has been an easy software product for my hubbie's biz. It's being phased out, and I feel "pressured" to convert.

I have been using Quickbooks as a backup for a number of years, and I think that QB has my vote. "QB" at least gives you options for various reports that your biz needs,and when you sign up for the extra payroll and tax services... it really makes life much easier.

I did not find "PeachTree" to be that flexible.
While both QB and PC tends to lean towards the more "intelligent" users(hubbie could never use either...); I still think that the OWP version should be reinvented.

I live in a country outside the United States, where we only use bank issued checks. We do not buy check forms and print customize checks ourselves. One-Write Plus has pre-determined check printing format or template and does not allow you to adjust print location of date, amount, and payee name, on the check. I wasted my money on OWP!

In addition to that, Peachtree Customer Service is as lousy as it can get. I'm asking for a refund.

This software allows true accounting without the headaches. It offers ease-of-use and security in one product. It serves my needs at the price I want. It's great!
