I brought this product because my old Peachtree Accounting Software is not compatible to Windows 7 64 bit. It is as good as the old product. The product itself in the accompanying CD is not compatible to Windows 7. However when you install the program with internet online, it will ask you to download files to make it compatible. Once it is done, the program works wonderfully. But it is a little slow every time when you open the program. When you are in it, everything is fine. This program has fewer options then the Peachtree Complete version. It does not has the fixed asset program if your company needs it. The payroll program is fine as long as you pay a premium to Sage company to update the tax rate information online. There are few changes from the previous version. You cannot change to another period if you did not reconcile you accounts. It does away the edit feature in the purchase/receive entry form. However you can still call up the invoices from the list button option and make change and save it. For a few month already, I did not find any conflict to Windows 7 and it is still working fine. If you do not need the fixed asset program or you have other fixed asset program on hand and your company is small. I highly recommand this product.

I'm really disappointed by the payroll section. They tell you that you can enter your own tax tables but the program doesn't provide the basic formulas so much more is involved than entering the numbers from Circular E. Their cheapest solution to get the tables from Peachtree costs $250 a year which is more than the cost of the program. I'm sending the program back to Amazon for a refund.

I bought 2010 Pro this time around. Before this version.. I bought 2011 Complete Accounting for $26 in March 2012! - I needed another install on another computer, did not want to pay full price so ordered an older version, I think I paid $50 this time around since I wanted the Pro Version and that was the cheapest at the time I purchased but they get cheaper if many are available so just wait and see. I cannot tell the difference between the 2011 and 2010.

REGISTRATION PROCESS - you do not have to call in, go to the link when you try to enter serial number. Click on it and it will take you and redirect you to the most current registration page. At the registration link, you will have to create an account. You will be presented first with "I purchased from SAGE, after 2012/Before 2012", " I purchased from retailer before 2012/After 2012" or something similar, choose the option that "you purchased from retailer before 2012 option". Create the account, you will be presented with options to register your product, not many options but just choose SAGE 50, enter your serial number, you will be given the Registration number and USER ID, or two numbers that you need to register the older version.

INSTALLATION: I have both 2010 (Upgraded to 2012 for free) and 2011 installed on Win 7, no errors. If you do have errors, try installing using compatibility mode, right click on install file, change to/install as Win XP SP3, hit Ok. That usually fixes issues if you are having issues .. but I never had any but I also have the latest updates from Windows.
For CD Issues, I copied the CD onto a flash drive, then installed the program from the flash drive and it did not freeze up. I believe it is a problem with the CDs that causes issues.

I did watch review of Quickbooks 2010 and older versions. I checked reviews of Peachtree, not good. But I got a deal, and in no time I found everything I got in my QB 2005. I was surprised. That version is solid. Got a problem at installation, I called them, the nice support from GA, USA was calm, was speaking clearly got my installation problem solved quick. That version is similar to QB that I know, it got even more stuff for inventory. You can try the premiere version free unlimited, it email invoicing for free, a must.

I am satisfied and happy to leave QB.

My computer with my Company's Peachtree 2006 crashed. Seeing I did not own the Peachtree on that computer and I am selling my company I decided to buy it for my replacement computer. The 2010 version was a fraction of the price of 2011. It installed smoothly and I was able to upload my backed up Peachtree files. It handled Windows 7 fine with the "patch". All my customized templates also loaded. Very happy with this purchase.

One of the first things you will see on this program is that most of the program quit working as of Dec 31, 2012. So you are just about left with a program that you could download for free. I am still not sure that it will run on my computer and am very sure it wasn't worth the price of $20 on sale.
