Great album, and completely different than the Saraha Lounge available in the states from Putumayo. Different artists, different songs, different company, different cover (though Amazon mistakenly has the cover to the Putumayo Sahara Lounge above, whereas this one has an entirely different cover) and this is a two disc rather than a one disc set.
The discs are entitled Sahara Red (more ethnic sounding) and Sahara Blue (cooler, more electronic). There is a very minor overlapping between the Putumayo Sahara Lounge and this one, in that song two from Sahara Red, Ya Rayah, is a stripped down version of a song on the Putumayo CD. Doesn't in any way detract from the value of this set, well worth the $28.00. |
