5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Lady, June 13, 2006
By
Daniel H. Schmidt (Temecula, CA United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Sai Baba: The Ultimate Experience (Paperback)
I had the good fortune of meeting and spending time with this lovely lady. At 92 she works harder than anyone I know, traveling around the world alone, holding seminars, giving talks continuously, answering emails, letters, phone messages and giving lectures at a pace that would make most grown men swagger. They never end.

At 92 she had just come from Southern California where she was the feature speaker over a weekend Conference followed by Seminars in Chicago and in four days I saw her she give several evening lectures to large groups, held private sessions every afternoon for select groups followed by evening dinners and entertainment and she never rested until late (around 11:00pm) in the evening. Of course her mother lived to be 107.

The only things she did to rejuvenate was an afternoon of Tai Chi. I was absolutely dumbfounded. We dropped her off enroute to do the same in New York. After which she was on her way back to Germany to teach a large group of men in her work over a several week period...

She is in continous demand for her works and her intimate experiences. It was Sai himself that asked Phyllis to write this work entitle the "Ultimate Experience", to simply tell her story. She didn't write it for glory but to serve him.

She continues to write and work and serve. In spite of the many obstacles that are demonstrated here in this biography at a much younger age she keeps on, because of her incredible commitment and vast education in this subject. She continues to be an inspiration, not only to followers of Sai Baba but to everyone she meets. I watched first hand. There is not a soul that met her that wasn't touched and inspired deeply. I was! For the person that she is. I'm pretty tough to impress honestly; but she's quite an inspiration.

Her work on the Cutting the Ties that Bind will hold a place in the esoteric and psychological work for a long, long time. Her writings literally work miracles on peoples lives. This is simply a small contribution to her story.

This is a very good book - the author gives a moving acount of her experiences. There are many good books on Baba but this one, particularly for me, is a very special one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, April 24, 2010
This review is from: Sai Baba: The Ultimate Experience (Paperback)
Yes, this is an excellent book on Phyllis Krystal's direct experience with Sai Baba. For a more recent and an indirect experience with Baba, readers may refer to my book How Sai Baba Attracts Without Direct Contact: Diary of a 21st Century Sai Devotee.

5.0 out of 5 stars travelling to India with Phillis Krystal, January 28, 2009

This review is from: Sai Baba: The Ultimate Experience (Paperback)
You do not have to go to India. You do not have to change religion. You do not have to do anything except read the book and you are literally transported in India, in Sai Baba's ashrams. And you discover the marvels through the own personal experience of Phillis Krystal. A delight. Phillis Krystal writes magnificently. It is not all a bed of roses that she describes. It is adventures, real adventures including when her plane was hijacked by terrorists. Just sit back, relax and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sai Baba The Ultimate Experience, July 21, 2010
This review is from: Sai Baba: The Ultimate Experience (Paperback)
Sathya Sai Baba is the Jesus Christ of our era. Some Western devotees have written books about Him. They are all fascinating. Sai Baba the Holy Man and the Psychiatrist is often the first read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but rugged, September 19, 2000

Much in the realm of the Celestine Prophecy if you can get past awkward writing; it is a great story for seekers. Now, will someone write a book that is a compelling story AND brilliantly written in this genre ?
