This things are pretty good if your just going to use them for a pattern but are not designed for sparring. The handle wrap came off but since the handle has texture underneath the wrap its ok. My problem with them is 4 months after purchasing them(and using them in sparring) the prong broke at the point where it had been welded to the shaft.

I'm not well versed with sai, but this is the second pair I've owned. The wrapping hasn't fallen off yet (two years now) and the weighting is decent

I have already learned three effective grips to hold each sai and all of them can either protect your hand or arm from blows, strike with the heavy steel base, or catch an enemy's arm or weapon.. only gripe is that they can be very loud and the chrome wears easily to some cheaper inner metal..

The sais themselves were acceptable. However, the black grip is made of a plastic strip, and that gold line you can barely see in the image? That's a strip of gold twist tie. Yeah, the stuff you close the bread bag with.

Most disappointing was the fact that water somehow got between the plastic strip and the metal handle, and the sai is rusted for about 5 inches of hilt and blade. In order to make these usable, I now have to scour off the rust and re-wrap the handles with leather. Not worth the price I paid, for a product I have to do so much work on.

These are really great while they last. One of the prongs broke off while throwing them. Otherwise really great for learning. Worth it.

I brought this product for my son for a x-mas gift. It came really fast. He loved it. I brought other items that he loved also.

My Grandson wanted these, as he is a very accomplished martial artist, he was very happy with them. Good value for the money.

I bought a pair of these to complete my TMNT Raphael Halloween costume. They are really sturdy, made of real metal and are pretty hefty to carry around. I can't speak for the functionality of it, but if you're looking for a prop this is a real good cheap and effective version to get.

I got these specifically as a sharp weapon but hey...those tips that look sharp in the picture...yeah they're completely blunt flat tips...fail.

These turned out to be slightly too long for me to use. I tried using them anyway, but they are really large and heavy. A good weapon should be light and easy to handle, I think. I have had the opportunity to use a really nice pair (after I purchased these) and the difference was obvious, both in versatility and the pain in my hands. However, they do look really nice. Maybe I'll hang them on my wall as decoration.
