The world's best accordionist--Great Artist!!, September 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Said & Done (Audio CD)
Flaco is the world's best accordist and he shows it in this CD...with his versatility of music and songs he played in it. "Recuerda" is a beautiful heartbreaking love song, then "Soulmates" an Instrumental is just out of this world, of course the country songs are great. Every one should have this CD! It is one of his best! And has something for everybody's taste of music. And he projects the great personality and charisma and very much talent that he has and the love of music that is in his blood. And so does Nunie Rubio, his vocalist, together they are simply fantastic!!!! There is no question why Flaco has won 5 grammys and numerous other awards Can hardly wait for his new upcoming CD.

World's no. 1 accordion man, February 29, 2000
This review is from: Said & Done (Audio CD)
God bless Flaco Jimenez. He may not sell millions or be a poster boy for the Latino movement, but the man has class, integrity and conviction in his playing. He has been, as the experienced music reporter Ramiro Burr pointed out, "The world's best ambassador' for conjunto music." As Mr. Burr explains in his marvelous book "Billboard Guide to Tejano and regional Mexican Music," on Billboard Books, "Jimenez was universally recognized as leading exponent of authentic South Texas conjunto. While there are many masters of the accordion along the Texas-Mexican border, none have toured Europe, Japan and other points overseas or recorded with as many pop, rock and country artists as Jimenez. By all accounts, Jimenez was an international icon for the accordion-fueled conjunto genre." Thank you Mr. Burr and thank you Mr. Jimenez.

Flaco and Nunie have set a new standard for Tejano Music., March 13, 1999

This review is from: Said & Done (Audio CD)
Flaco Jimenez has released the best C.D of his career. Nunie Rubio's lead vocals set a new and exciting tempo on this release. Nunies performance in the song De Bolon Pin Pon and Recuerda reminds of the passion that music can deliver. Said and Done has the best compilation of songs from country, tejano, and conjunto tones that has been released to date. If you don't already own this, you're spanish music collection is not complete. SAMMY MORALES

This review is from: Said & Done (Audio CD)
The CD Said and done is awesome. The music is unbelivable. Flaco plays that squezzebox like no other. No wonder he won those 2 grammy's this year. I love this CD I can play over and over again and still love it more and more. Nunie Rubio the lead vocolist really is unbelivable aside from being a great kind hearted guy like Flaco he has an extremely hot voice. I LOVE THIS CD!!!!

TOO SLICK FOR ME, January 5, 2005
This review is from: Said & Done (Audio CD)
This is Flaco watered down, like bad salsa, for gringos - the trademark runs are few, the songs tend toward modern (i.e. wimpy) country rather than traditional conjunto and the whole thing sounds more like a sappy Rick Trevino or Mavericks production. Go for his earlier recordings if you want to hear why Flaco is the master.
