5.0 out of 5 stars ...
Ignore most of what James M. has to say (and his dubious motivation); he pays little attention to the actual music and instead opts to paint an ugly picture of one of the most original and fan-friendly bands to troll the underground, ever (FYI James: the drummer for Everclear got his start in Jollymon!). 1.0 out of 5 stars What a facade - what-core originators?
I'm surprised that these guys have the nerve to promote themselves as one of the top three bands in the northwest. It'd be a stretch of the imagination to even consider them one of the top three acts working the local strip-bar circuit & other assorted dives. Their credibility is totally self-projected. This is a band that won't hesitate to drop names,...

I recommend downloading the available tracks here at Amazon.com and decide for yourself (this is a biased review; I've been following Jolly since 1995). Enjoy! I have been for years.

I'm surprised that these guys have the nerve to promote themselves as one of the top three bands in the northwest. It'd be a stretch of the imagination to even consider them one of the top three acts working the local strip-bar circuit & other assorted dives. Their credibility is totally self-projected. This is a band that won't hesitate to drop names, especially that of a xx-drummer (nontheless) who left for greener pastures long ago. This marketing approach has worked, amazingly, making this record their best seller. However, "Sailing" is certainly not their best recorded effort, which isn't saying much. Isn't it funny how this business works? They're no originators of whatever-core, which is just word fluff for musically inept white-boys anyway. They're just another group of lazy, highly derivative, middle-aged, trailer-park bongaholics, with no other options in life but every boys pubescent pursuit of rock stardom. In short, Jolly Mon is not a very good example of what the northwest has to offer. Everclear fans beware (or aware)! Maybe check out Floater if you have the time. -James N.
