"Fabulasly done... and dubbed!"

"The Awakening" is the final video in the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon S VHS collection (Vol. 12). The video continues from the last one, "Small Hearts", when Chibi-Usa's (Rini's) pure heart crystal was stolen by Hotaru (posessed by evil). This VHS begins with the Inner Sailors in a goo-y battle with some red-slime-monsters (which look like blood when they come out of the school). Sailor Moon is kidnapped and taken inside the building by Mistris Nine, who plans to take the Holy Grail (Purity Chalice) from her. Meanwhile, the Inner and Outer Sailors are having their own troubles, as the four Inners struggle to keep a protective forcefield around the school, Sailor Pluto stops time to save Uranus and Neptune (she dies), and Uranus and Neptune face off with Dr. Tomoe, and the whole time, Mamoru (Darien) uses his life energy to keep Chibi-Usa alive. Mistris Nine, takeing the form of Hotaru, tricks Sailor Moon into giving her the Grail and destroys it. Now that the Grail is gone, Sailor Moon can't become Super Sailor Moon. But in the end, Hotaru gains her powers and destroys Mistris Nine, and becomes Sailor Saturn. Stating she's the only one who can save the world, she leaves Sailor Moon to go return Chibi-Usa's heart and face off with Pharoh Ninety. Sailor Moon, not wanting Hotaru to die, gives up her pure heart to become Super Moon and follows Saturn. When the battles over, Super Moon appears with Baby Hotaru in her arms standing where Mugen High once stood.

The VHS doesn't end there, though. In the final two episodes, Sailors Uranus and Neptune battle against Sailor Moon, to determine if she is a strong leader, and Hotaru is reunited with her father. Then, Chibi-Usa gets a letter from the future to come home, and she feels that everyone WANTS her to leave. The S season ends with amazing episodes, that are well done, and to my (and probubly many others) surprise, well dubbed! Don't miss the conclusion of Sailor Moon S!

I used to think that the uncut American Sailor Moon videos were exactly the same as the Japanese version except with different names for the characters, but then I read on the Internet that this is not really uncut. It's the same as the other American version except with the parts they took out. That's what I read anyway. I think it's true.

This isn't really uncut then. The only uncut Sailor Moon is Sailor Moon in Japanese with English subtitles.

I only gave this video four stars because the American version of season three is actually okay, unlike the first two seasons, which are really bad in English. And if this wasn't the video where Sailor Saturn appears, then I would only give this three stars.

Anyway, there are four episodes. In episode one Hotaru has just transformed into Mistress 9 and taken Chibi-Usa/Rini's heart crystal. Now the sailor soldiers/sailor scouts are trying to get into the building. Sailor Moon gets pulled inside by Mistress 9. Uranus and Neptune are almost killed but Pluto stops time so they also get into the building and destroy the monster that was inside Professor Tomoe. Sailor Moon protects Mistress 9 from Uranus and Neptune and gives her the purity chalice/grail.

In episode two, Hotaru turns into Sailor Saturn for the first time and gives back Chibi-Usa/Rini's heart crystal. She also jumps inside Pharaoh 90 to destroy it. Sailor Moon tries to follow her but she can't transform into Super Sailor Moon since she doesn't have the purity chalice/grail. The other sailor soldiers/scouts give her their power and she transforms into Super Sailor Moon and goes inside Pharaoh 90 to save Hotaru.

In episode three, Sailor Moon comes back carrying a baby, which is actually Hotaru who has been reborn. Uranus and Neptune take care of Hotaru for a while and then give her back to Professor Tomoe, who is now in a wheelchair. Sailor Pluto somehow gives Chibi-Usa/Rini a message about what happened to Hotaru. (But I thought Pluto died if she stopped time!) Anyway, Chibi-Usa/Rini sees Professor Tomoe and Hotaru at the park. Uranus and Neptune get angry at Sailor Moon because she almost let the world be destroyed to save Hotaru. They fight Sailor Moon but she wins and they apologize and leave.

In episode four, Chibi-Usa/Rini goes back to the future. But an egg was left over from the battle and it turns into a monster and starts taking heart crystals. The sailor soldiers/scouts fight it and Chibi-Usa/Rini comes back from the future and helps them. At the end she tells them that she is staying. I didn't really like this episode very much because I don't like the English dub of Sailor Moon and this episode was pretty much like all the other episodes.

If you like the American version of Sailor Moon, this is one of the best videos. But if you want to see uncut Sailor Moon, get the Japanese version with subtitles instead.

P.S. The only part of this that I could find on the video that is in Japanese is the ending theme song. Someone said that this has the Japanese version too but I think it's actually only the DVDs that have both versions. I couldn't find the Japanese version on mine (the buttons on my remote only work on DVDs.) This might have the Japanese version but I couldn't find out how to get to it.

This is the best video of the season. It shows sailor saturn and sailor moon in the battle of her life! If you are a huge fan of sailor moon (like me) you'll enjoy this alot.

What I mean by that is that this is the only one in the uncut version for this season that four episodes instead of three. I would ALWAYS put five stars if the movie's episodes are good. But this one has four episodes and[ even if the first episode is kind of boring] I'm gonna give it five stars anyways. What can I say? This movie has three good things about it[ besides the fact that this is the movie that eveeryone has been waiting for, the last movie and the four last episodes in this season]:
1. You get an extra episode out of the deal.
2. This movie is 95 minutes long.
3. [ In my opinon]I think the box looks pretty cool

Sailor Moon is back in a all new thrilling film where Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Soldiers fight the legendary Messiah of Silence that lives within Hotaru.As Hotaru's lifeline fades Sailor Moon gives up her Chalice to bring Hotaru back, but insted she shows up as Sailor Saturn!It was not what I expected,it was much better!

I would like to comment that this volume of Sailor Moon S was the best out of the whole series.

One reason that this volume was the best is beacuse it features all of the Sailor Scouts, including one of my favorite scouts, Sailor Saturn. Another reason it was good is that the ending was concluded well and it didn't leave me questioning more (except about when the next season was coming). A third reason I liked it was because the second episode of the volume was very touching.

There are many other reasons I liked this this volume, but if I listed them all I'd run out of room. I hope that you will see this volume and find reasons of your own as to why you enjoyed it.

This was the BEST! I dunno about you but, I loved it!!! This is the last episodes of the S series Bojishou Senshi Sailor Moon S! ( It's really called that ) The Messiah of silence is at her revenge! She'll do anything to get the Holy Grail now. The Sailor Senshi now have Mistress 9, Dr. Tomoe, Pharoh 90, and the Death busters to deal with! Can they make it? The end of this series is different and unpredictible! I thoght that Sailor Moon would use the ginhoushou (a.k.a. Imperium Silver Crystal) to destroy him, but she uses the Spiral Heart Moon Rod insted. "Cozmic Moon...Power!!!", The attack has really no affect, Pharoh 90 easily deflects it and attacks... Mistress 9?! Whats with the Death busters? They kill thier own team! This world is in Jepordy! The Senshi, without the Grail cannot destroy this monster! What to do!? Sailor Moon is not powerfull enough. The other Senshi are DEAD! What will happen? This, all excitment is Vol. 11-12! The best ones! Can the Sailor Senshi defeat them?! All in Vol. 12!

I like this video tape, it's pretty fun to watch it,and it got the endings of Sailor Moon S too. You'll find out what happens to Rini, Hotaru, and the Sailor Scouts. One thing I want to tell you is that Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune will be gone by the end of the show (I'm not happy, tell you the truth, because I like them and Hotaru). Also, the cover they showed you for the video tape of the uncut is really the Aweaking one, I don't know why the put the words small hearts on it. The uncut and TV versions of the real Small Hearts both has a Sailor Saturn on it, but they are different. Also, the TV version of the Aweaking has Sailor Moon on it, so if you want to judge a tape by its cover, you can choose from here.

It was so dramatic and thrilling at the same time and it is one of those tapes that keeps you guessing,not to mention the suspence that was like a wild rollercoaster! Esspecially ' A Bright Shooting Star! Saturn,and the Messiah' because I was asking myself "will Sailor Moon stop Pharoh 90?" This is a Must Have for Sailor Moon Fans !!!!!!

The sailor scouts go to fight mistress 9 and stop Pharoah 90 from destroying the universe!Sailor Moon gives mistress 9 the holy grail and mistress 9 destroys it!These are the last episodes of the bishouji senshi sailor moon s season.I really recommend this vidio!
