Format: Comic
This super rare variant issue of of comic #1 was only available at San Diego ComicCon in 1998 to club Tokyopop members in attendance. The fact that it is 1998 release is of special note to Sailor moon fans at that was he year Naoko Takeuchi herself was attending ComicCon! It features a lovely pink cover with a silver foil crescent moon on the cover as well as a special feature on the inner cover that explains it's origins and limited availability. The inner comic is the same as standard single issue comic #1Sailor Moon Vol 1 Mixx Comics (Sailor Moon, 1) though if you're used to reading the pocket manga ANY of the single issue comics are a real treat! The images are large and clear and the speech bubbles aren't cut unlike in the graphic novels! Tokyopop did another limited edition variant in 1999 but of single issue #11 instead.Sailor Moon Comic #11 Limited Edition Silver Foil Tokyopop Comic Con Variant (Comic) This is really a lovely comic and I'm pleased to have it as a part of my collection. However, as it doesn't have too much in the way of unique content I'd mostly recommend for Sailor moon collectors interesting in having a complete set of comics rather than casual readers/fans.

I've been looking for this rare issue #1 promotional variant for some time, and I was pleased as punch to see it finally available. The price was reasonable, and I got it swiftly, well-packed (bagged and with backing in padded envelope), and in the advertised condition.
