4.0 out of 5 stars An OK mix, Blumchen redeams this CD, June 6, 1999
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sailor Moon In Love (Anime Compilation) (Audio CD)
Well, I bough this CD because of the title, and I was mildly supprised. There are all sorts of music on this CD. They are "Sailor Moon" related, but not really from Sailor Moon. The one I like the least is called Love is Forever because it's done in an opartic/rap style which you have to (like coffee) get an aquired taste. The redeming song of this one is called Gibt Mir Noch Zeit, by Blumchen, and was a chart topper over in Germany. The kairoke version of the German theme is the last song. This CD somes with a fan book/poster, but keep in mind, unless you can read German, this poster won't make much sense. Only three to four songs are compeletely in German, supprisingly, and I think that this CD would make a nice addition to any Sailor Moon fan's CD library.

5.0 out of 5 stars very cool, July 6, 2000

This review is from: Sailor Moon In Love (Anime Compilation) (Audio CD)
Well, as most of you know this CD is German, However, only 4 songs are actually in German. First 5 and last 2 songs are from SMoon, the rest are different German hits. In this cd, unlike the other German SMoon Compilation, they sing the theme song in English. None of the songs repeat from the other German CD. Many people like the Tamagotchi song, but beware some of you might think it's too childish. The coolest thing about CD is that it includes a poster with Serena(Usagi)looking in the mirror at her brooch (the scene from the first episode). CD is worth getting - I loved all of the SMoon Songs! They are really cool (and in English)!

4.0 out of 5 stars What other reviewers don't understand., August 4, 2005
By
This review is from: Sailor Moon In Love (Anime Compilation) (Audio CD)
Other reviewers of this product don't seem to understand what it actually is, and what it is not. It is NOT a Japanese disk with the original Japanese music from SailorMoon. It IS, however, a German disk with GERMAN Sailor Moon music. This is music that showed up in the german dub of the show, and other selections that the publisher felt went along with the theme. [Kind of like tracks on a disk that are listed as "inspired by [title of show here]".] I personally enjoy the German music for Sailormoon. You couldn't get much further from the original Japanese themes if you tried, but it's still quite enjoyable in its own right.

So, in short, do not purchase this if you're looking for the original Japanese music. DO purchase this if you enjoy the german dub of Sailor Moon, or are collecting Sailor Moon items from around the world [this is a great piece to fill out such a collection].
