This review is from: Sailor Moon - The Power of Friendship (TV Show, Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In this second volume of Sailor Moon Season 1, we are introduced to two characters that will be with us until the end. This tape contains two episodes which further along the season story arch, making it an important part of your collection!
Episode 5: Computer School Blues - 1st Appearance of Amy (Sailor Mercury). In this episode, a new girl (Amy) shows up to school. Most of the students gossip about her since she's so smart. Luna senses something about her and suspects Amy is a monster from the Negaverse. However, as Serena begins befriending Amy, Jedite's true plot is revealed and before the day is out, Sailor Moon will have a new ally in the form of the revived sailor scout, Sailor Mercury. Episode 6: Time Bomb - Now having to deal with 2 sailor scouts, Jedite continues his attempts to gain energy for Queen Beryl and the Negaverse. New alarm clocks cause people to rush around town, exerting energy. Serena is affected and with the help of Amy, the two scouts face down Jedite's newest monster. One thing to note is that Luna gives Amy her Mercury computer, which will be used throughout the rest of the series. Overall, one of the more amusing filler episodes. Episode 7: An Uncharmed Life - 1st Appearance of Raye (Sailor Mars). Girls who visit the local temple are disappearing! When Serena and Amy check it out, they meet the beautiful young priestess, Raye Hino. Little does Raye realize that Jedite is working for her grandfather, kidnapping local girls with a bus. When Serena and Raye are trapped with the other girls, Luna discovers that Raye is more than she seems! Introducing Sailor Mars! Episode 8: Nightmare in Dreamland - Now, with three sailor scouts activated, the young girls get together and visit the new theme park. This episode really presents the relationship between Serena and Raye, who are constantly bickering about one thing or another. A decent filler episode.

This review is from: Sailor Moon - The Power of Friendship (TV Show, Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is excellent! The video tells about how Ray and Amy becomes Sailor Scouts. This video is important to see to understand how Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury came in to the scene. The video has four excellent episodes, Computer School Blues, Time Bomb, An Uncharmed Life, and Nightmare in Dreamland. Each one of these episodes is great. In Computer School Blues the Negaverse tries to take energy by computers. In the episode Time Bomb everyone is in such a hurry, I wonder why? In the episode An Uncharmed Life, a city bus disappears in air near a temple, what happens to all the passengers? Last but not least in Nightmare in Dreamland people are reported missing after they arrived in an amusement park. Will Sailor Moon stop the Negaverse or will the Negaverse win. Get this video and find out. Sailor Moon Says, "See Ya"

Episodes From the First Series,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sailor Moon - The Power of Friendship (TV Show, Vol. 2) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Computer School Blues: Serena doesn't know what to think of kind but nerdy Ami, a new student at Crossroads. But she soon finds out when the teacher of Ami's afterschool computer class turns out to be a Negaverse monster!
Time Bomb: What happens when you buy a clock at the new clock store in the mall? You become an impatient worry-wart! Serena waking up early? And actually wanting to do work? It's going to take a lot of thought, and time to figure this one out! An Uncharmed Life: People can't help being suspicious of Cherry Hill Temple when busloads of people start disappearing there, much to the beautiful and mysterious girl Raye, who lives and works there's frustration. But Luna has a different feeling, one that will change Raye forever. Nightmare In Dreamland: Dreamland, a cute, candy filled theme park full of fun rides, and realistic robot animals. Sounds innocent enough...yeah right! Besides Sailor Moon, I advise you to look into the similar manga/anime Mew Mew Power (Tokyo Mew Mew).

The back of the box (in the editorial review) covers most of it. This tape shows 4 episodes from the first season of the north american dub for Sailor Moon. It includes "Computer School Blues" where Sailor Mercury is introduced, and "An Uncharmed life" where Sailor Mars is introduced. I wouldn't call the season these episodes are from the best season- but the tape is a good buy for collectors, or any moonies that don't already own some form of first season dub.

This tape is not very good. Its all chopped up. All of the good parts are taken out. Why can't DIC leave it UNCUT. The Uncut version is so much better. It makes more sense to . So if you love Sailor Moon buy Sailor Moon season one uncut on DVD.If you go to ebay you can get episodes 1-200.
