Corrine Ware has written a wonderful step-by-step guide to improving daily prayer at a minimum, or a guide to establishing a rule of life for the more dedicated aspirant. She shows in simple, straightforward fashion how the centuries old Rule of St. Benedict can be used as the basis for a modern formulation of daily prayer that can fit into virtually any schedule no matter how busy. There is no need to retreat to a monastery or convent to follow the practice. Simple brief exercises based on the rhythm of everyday life activities call one back into contact with God throughout the day. I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels that the spiritual dimension is somehow weak or lacking in their life. It is a quick and rewarding read.
