4.0 out of 5 stars Saint Francis Guide is great for residents, October 19, 2000
This review is from: Saint-Frances Guide to Outpatient Medicine (Saint-Frances Guide Series) (Paperback)
I was pleasantly surprised by the Saint Francis Guide to Outpatient Medicine! The content was thorough enough for my clinic, and went beyond the basics of outpatient care. What I loved most about the book was the last section of each chapter which gave recommendations for follow up care, which, as a resident is probably the hardest thing for me to decide when seeing patients in my clinic. I have already shown this book to my fellow residents and even attendings as a book everyone should own. Thank you so much for this great reference!

This is a great reference guide that I use several times a week in my practice as a nurse practitioner in a busy family practice office. My favorite section is the one on anemias. I had initially discovered it from one of my physician colleagues. I used it so much I bought my own copy! It is so easy to use with great information on a variety of topics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid and user-friendly, March 19, 2006
This review is from: Saint-Frances Guide to Outpatient Medicine (Saint-Frances Guide Series) (Paperback)
This book was very useful to me to introduce me to clinical medicine. It is organized by complaint and has a very user-friendly format with differential diagnosis, tests, treatment, etc. Is an excellent resource for any introductory to medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, ambulatory medicine, even referred to it a couple of times in peds. I've come back to it a few times during 4th year rotations too. Worth a look!
