For the most part, it is good and works, except on the back side. The way the lid closes doesn't leave room for it to be laid flat. Unfortunately, it lost its adhesive power while I was trying to get it to work back there. What I have now is some high temp sealant that I used to stick it on and fill some of the other gaps with.
Anyways, it's much better than it was. Not perfect seals, but much better. And I still have some left over. :)
*Update: I made sure the 2nd time to scuff up the edge and clean with a good degreaser. I let the tape sit about a week before using it again and it made a huge difference in sticking to the door. Has really helped with the leaking of smoke and heat.
The 100s version of this product is produced with an adhesive that is activated by heat and is made specifically for a high temperature environment. It was described by the person that I was speaking with as "not the most aggressive" when it is working as it should. The factory rep asked what the expiration date and batch number was and that's when I found that while there was a spot for an expiration date - it was empty
The 100s adhesive has a limited shelf life. This batch had obviously past it's shelf life, with no sticking power - but the actual shelf life is a mystery.
I bought over 10 rolls of this stuff and it was all in the same condition. Either the vendor is not managing their stock very well or Amazon is a good way to dump expired material.

It seemed from the description that this gasket was clear, so I was disappointed when it showed up and was brown of all colors. Read morePublished 4 days ago by Kellie
