Quietly Stunning and Powerful,
By petals "ice cream goddess" (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Saint John's Mercy (Audio CD)
Krummenacher's lushly fluid vocals coupled with bracing guitar and drums create one beautiful work that won't be leaving my CD player in the near (and maybe far) future. At times moody, at times more overt, St. John's Mercy is both musically radiant and emotionally powerful. Krummenacher's lyrics evoke the same inner disquiet as those of Richard Buckner (and Buckner fans may wish to check out this CD). They are touching without being maudlin, possessing an ability to recall one's own memories. I actually found my eyes welling with tears during "Long Way Home", which has only happened once before when listening to a song for the first time.
