In her newest deck, angel therapist and clairvoyant Doreen Virtue presents 44 cards designed to help individuals to hear guidance from saints, angels, and Christian deities.

Like her previous decks, Saints & Angels Oracle Cards feature artwork culled from a variety of artists. As such, the thirteen artists contribute their own visions of particular saints, angels, and celestial images to this particular deck. Over half the cards (23) are attributed to a general "Guardian Angel", indicating a message from a personal angel. Seventeen cards feature popular Catholic saints including "St. Mother Theresa" who, while beatified, isn't technically a saint. Two Archangels make it into the deck-St. Raphael and St. Michael-and the remaining four cards are dedicated to the Catholic quadrinity: God, Mother Mary, Holy Spirit, and Christ.

A 110-page booklet accompanies the deck and the introduction is similar to that of other Virtue decks: rapping a knuckle on the deck to clear energies, shuffling, preparing for a reading, and interpreting a 3-card spread. In this guidebook, Doreen adds that you can read into the future by drawing 7 cards for every day of the upcoming week or 12 cards for every upcoming month of the year. Approximately a page and a half further elaborates on the message of each card.

I did a 3-card reading with this deck and the results were broad but decently accurate. I did another 3-card reading and it didn't seem to make much sense. Later, I did a 1-card reading about my 7-year old son. In both this reading and the first one, I got the St. Joan of Arc card. Perhaps the spirit realm wants me to remember that I'm a role model that inspires and influences others. However, I didn't find the reading comforting or particularly insightful. (Maybe I'm just tired of leading by default!) On the other hand, perhaps the vagueness is a result of my lack of affinity with saints and angels.

If you enjoy Doreen's other angel decks and have an affinity for saints, you'll most likely enjoy this deck. However, because of the general nature of both the Guardian Angels and the subject matters, I couldn't help but think of Cheryl Richardson's Self Care Cards-and how that deck would make a great alternative to the Saints & Angels Oracle Cards. My personal favorite is Doreen's Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards, but if you can't connect with goddesses (I didn't think *I* could until I tried that deck!) and are more comfortable with Christian deities, Catholic saints, and angels-this is a lovely oracle. If you're looking for a deck to use with children or want to tap into that magical, child-like part of yourself, take a peek at Doreen's Magical Unicorns Cards, as well.

By the way, if the gilt edging of the last two decks has spoiled you-the Magical Unicorns and Goddesses-you may be disappointed that this deck doesn't have it.

First of all let me say that I have enjoyed most of Doreen's oracle decks. Generally speaking I think Doreen has made a great contribution with the creation of her many decks. A part from being all very beautiful, they provide people with easy and fun ways for both receiving guidance and for connecting with many kinds of beings beyond the veil. Her cards are always joyful, uplifitng and bring with them a feeling of magical enchantment. I am a fan!

In this deck we get to meet the usual angelic energies plus a variety of saints from the more orthodox religious tradition. The cards are accompanied by a booklet in which we find a brief story of the life of each saint depicted in the cards as well as an overview of each of their special contributions. The angel cards are less detailed and more striclty oracle orientated.

The cards are very good for connecting with the qualities that these saints supposedly embodied. The deck is very useful for stimulating and awakening those qualities in oneself. They are also good to use as tools for illuminating areas of the self that need developing or that need to be boosted to achieve one's goals.

With their beautiful artwork and inspired energy, these cards will be a very nice addition to your oracle card collection :-)!

One afternoon, my husband and I decided to have lunch at the lovely little Green Goddess organic food cafe in Stowe, Vermont. Each table had a box of cards, and I walked over to the empty table across the room to a box of these Saints and Angels Cards.

While we waited for our food to be prepared, I had my husband randomly choose the 3-cards for his reading. I had no way of knowing what question was on his mind, but when I saw the cards that came up after he told me the question, I was stunned.

Uncannily accurate and directly connected to the question on his mind, as well as the future card was surprisingly accurate as well.
This required no stretch to make the meanings fit - they were direct answers to a direct question.
Mine was also insightful, and frankly a message I have received many times before.
I'm ordering my own set of Saints and Angels cards today!

I enjoy the cards very much. They give me answers that direct my feet in the current direction. Their assistance is gentle.

This is a wonderful deck! The images are clear and beautiful and the little explanation book provides detailed and insightful answers that can guide you on any issue you want guidance on.The other day, I was in a depressed state because my bank froze my account and I couldnt pay my rent that was overdue and they wouldnt release my funds because of an error on their part. I prayed and asked for the outcome to the situation as I was praying very hard. I cut the deck and pulled out the "Triumph" guardian angel card and read the message which basically stated that all obstacles are over and you will win in the end. 2 hours later and very friendly rep released my funds to me over the phone!Make sure you clear your cards before using them and I especially reccomend a prayer and using FLorida water to cleanse your hands.

I really enjoy using this deck for myself and for my clients. I had been pining to purchase this deck for several months when I first saw it released. I finally gave into purchasing it and I was so pleased I did.

I grew up Catholic and was particularly familiar with the Saints. I felt they were 'special friends' helping us out in our lives. My favorite to this day is St. Gerard Majella, not only because his feast day is my birthday, but I attended a school named after him.

After much struggle with the Catholic Church, I've not been sure how to heal my frustrations and confusions with my old friends, the Saints, until this deck. In a way, when I first looked through the deck, it was like 'coming home'. I was filled with a sense of familiarity and love as a gazed through the different cards; Mother Teresa, St. Nicholas and St. Therese, the Little Flower.

My most moving experience with the deck was pulling the "Miracle" card, which depicts Christ. This card, truly, is helping to heal my relationship with Jesus, whom I've always loved and admired.

My only criticism of this deck is the lack of gilt edging and the colors do not "pop" like they do in the Magical Unicorns Deck, which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE deck.

If you are spiritual & like oracle cards then you will definitely appreciate this oracle deck...I tried a 3 card reading and also a 1 card reading, and got insightful guidance...the amazing thing was that I actually felt my palms get warm when I shuffled the deck and felt my fingers reach out to the chosen cards by virtue of intuition. The readings were incredibly enlightening and I loved the depiction of angels & saints. A beautiful, spiritual deck!

These cards are wonderful. I am a medium and do a lot of readings, I have people draw a card at the end of their readings and love to see the look on peoples face as I read the encourageing words . It is uncanny how appropriate the messages are. Well done!

This deck is absolutely beautiful to me. I love the artwork and the gold trimming around the edges of the cards. I have never owned Oracle Cards, this is my very first set. I used the cards the 1st day i received them from Amazon. I did the 3 card spread and i also asked who is with me. The 3 card spread was pretty accurate for me and described my past, present and gave me hope for the future.I was particulary amazed when i shuffled the cards and cut the deck. I picked the card on the top of the 2nd deck. It was the "Retreat" Guardian Angel, then i shuffled the cards again and also cut the deck but this time pick the bottom card of the 1st deck, IT WAS THE SAME CARD! I still have yet to do the 7 day card spread and the 12 month spread. Before the cards came in i have been praying for weeks for my guardian angel to help me through these difficult times. I ordered this deck along with 3 others from Doreen Virtue. I just received the
Goddess Deck today and still waiting for Archangels and Unicorns. I ordered these specifically because i've always felt close to Angels/Saints. As a kid i was intrigued with Goddesses and Unicorns. So far i am more than pleased with this deck and look forward to using it often.

This is a beautifully illustrated and inspiring deck of oracle cards which provides helpful information on multiple life topics and issues. The comforting messages and warm, inspiring meanings of the cards are sure to give your spirits a lift. A great accompaniment to Doreen Virtue's other inspiring oracle card decks!
