While I truly enjoyed the gameplay and being able to shoot, fight, pretty much do whatever I wanted in the game some of the glitches also caused some headaches too. I skipped over the first game like another reviewer and just started the second one, while it's neat you can customize your character to be different ethnicity's, gender, or voice it doesn't really make to much of a difference overall in the games story basically it's just to entertain the player with the ability to customize the character that way. While the city is vast there are a few glitches in it as well, one is when you're driving over a bridge sometimes when speeding in you do a sharp turn to avoid a vehicle you be stuck in a white screen not able to go anywhere, another is when you so the jump out trick of a speeding car you'll sometimes get stuck in the pavement and aren't able to move. While the glitches don't happen frequently when they do it's a real annoyance especially when you're doing a mission and have to start over because of this glitch. The graphics of the game are a little dated, while decent and not the worse graphics out there when you compare it to the recent games like Gears of War 3 or the Uncharted games it is in the lower corner of graphics, but I do give it kudos for the graphics of the city which are pretty top notch. Still for this price and getting two games for it it's kind of forgivable but just be warned about them. Also if you have young children then these games are most definitely not for them as you do have a obsessive amount of profanity, violence and sex and drugs put into the game and while very entertaining for adults or older teens(About 16 I suggest at least) it is not a kids game. So for all of us who dream secretly of causing mass mayhem in civilized cities and being able to do it without the consequences here's a entertaining and addictive game to try out.

Saints Row really didn't raise the bar on the Sandbox genre, just made it fun to play again. While I'm not a big fan of the original entry the 2nd was pure brilliance to me and I can't wait for the third.

I've been wanting to try these games so when they offered a double pack for $20, I couldn't resist.
I played the first one for a while. Not bad, kindof fun. I then played the second one. Haven't stop playing it since then. It seems that it's OK that I skipped the first one. I recognize one character from the first game, but that's it so far. What I like most about this game is that it doesn't seem to take itself as seriously as GTA does. I like the side mission, especially the septic avenger or whatever it's called. In short, I have enjoyed playing the second one, but didn't give much time to the first one. It's a lot of fun and should at least keep me busy until Skyrim comes out!
