Must Have Rock,
By rocklover (California) - See all my reviews

This band is the most un-recognized group of talented A+ musicians I have ever heard. Been following them for years now, and this new cd Saints and Sinners truly shows what this band is all about. Rock, Irish, kick-butt good music. If you've never seen them live, you are missing an event of epic proportions. I love this new cd, it absolutely showcases each musicians contribution.......BUY IT!

The Young Dubliners are all about the fans and this time around - They did not disappoint! Every song makes you want to get up from your chair and sing along. The Dubs' high energy live show is finally captured on this album! It's a great album for St. Patrick's day (and every day for that matter!)

Love this one,
This review is from: Saints And Sinners (Audio CD)
This album is all Dub....and that's a wonderful thing. I enjoyed all the tracks, took the time to sit down with the lyrics to understand the meaning of each song. My favorites on this album: In the End, My Town, Buy You a Life, Love Anymore. With the Dubs, it's as much about the lyrics as it is the music... IMHO. If you can't hear the Irish influence here, you're not listening hard enough. If you need more Irish, buy their last CD, "With All Due Respect: Irish Sessions".

The Best Dubs Yet!,
This review is from: Saints And Sinners (Audio CD)
First, let me confess that I am serious Young Dubs fan. I have all their CDs and have traveled several times to see them play.
Saints and Sinners is my favorite Dubs CD now. I love every song -- nothing to skip over on this CD to get to the better ones. Several songs are classic Dubs rockers, and in addition to that there are some great new sounds to enjoy including a Cindy Wasserman's singing with Keith and the fascinating sounds on Chance, the last track. Plus, in great Dubs tradition, Saoirse is a great instrumental. I'm listening to this CD over and over with no plans to stop. The only thing better than listening to S&S is getting out to hear these guys play live. Don't miss them!

From the very first play this CD grabbed my attention. It is contagious, exceedingly well produced and just darn great. They have finally managed to get their live energy across in a studio album. If you are reading this review pondering whether to buy- just buy it.

Can't Wait for St. Patty's Day!!,

I saw these guys in concert at the Roxy and lets just say the record does them complete justice. Although nothing is like a live Young Dubliner Show, this album is mixed so well you'll rock just as hard sitting in your car.

Good high energy Irish rock never sounded so good. In a post 'Pogues' world Flogging Molly and the Young Dub's carry the mantle very well - Saints & Sinners captures the energy of a live Dub's show with real studio polish. Love this CD - will wear it out this St. Patty's Day!

I was so excited to find out The Young Dubliners were releasing a new disk, it was worth the wait and will not disappoint!
This is an awesome disk! The dubs are great to their fans and I got this album almost a week early (thanks guys!). From the first listen I loved it! Each time I listen I love it more and more! These guys are incredible and never cease to amaze me. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

As another reviewer wrote, this is an enormously talented bunch of musicians who deserve far more recognition than they have yet received. This album is their best yet. From the title track to "In the End," #1 on my makes-my-hair-stand-up list, "Rosie," an ode to a high-maintenance girlfriend, "Saorise," an indubitably Celtic instrumental that'll have you wishing you were Lord of the Dance, to . . . well, if I told you about every track you'd never finish reading the review.
Suffice to say that this group is so tight that you'll think they share one brain. Buy it. Listen. Love it. Then check out the lads' website and catch a live show if you can. You will not regret it. |
