    Very soft and beautiful.

The one thing I would say is the color is much brighter than pictured, I was looking for a more toned down eggplant and got bright, royal puruple.

It is soft and the color is beautiful (black) and it feels good.

If you are as confused as I was about which 'pashmina' shawl/stole to order, look no further. This one is beautiful. It has a lustrous sheen, good drape, fringe that moves like you want it to, and is amazingly soft. I bought it for my beach wedding, and know I'll enjoy wearing it for many years to come. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other suspiciously cheap wraps out there, but is well worth the money. It looks like silk, and the feel is even softer. Great product, would recommend to a friend, and am considering buying another in a different color. I got mine from Saka's, and have no complaints about the seller.

My last shawl was a 100% black cashmere one from the Pashmina store. Had it for several years before losing it on a cruise ship and never replaced it although I wore it most everywhere. Well, I now have a wedding to attend this weekend and I needed a shawl fast to cover my shoulders during the ceremony. I was a bit wary about purchasing anything less then what I had owned before and knowing that it would get a lot of use from me, it was a really tough decision not to splurge on a new cashmere wrap - however - I'm really satisfied with my decision to go with this wrap instead (I needed the extra $$$ for an appropriate wedding gift!)

For the price, this is a very nice wrap indeed. I think some of the complaints about it being threadbare must either be the result of a defective product having been received or perhaps a bit of exaggeration. For sure, this is a thin scarf but it possesses a nice weight and beautiful drape. Some light will pass through the material if held up to the light but wrapped around your shoulders it is very much opaque. The fabric has a slight sheen to it, much like you would expect to see in a silk blend, which makes this a bit more appropriate for formal wear. I did not note any quality control issues; no holes, tears, snags or unevenness. In a pinch, I feel this was an excellent buy and when I do get around to replacing my old cashmere wrap, I'll still keep this one in my wardrobe for formal wear (again, the slight sheen and nice drape makes it more appropriate in this regard) and for sharing with friends.

I've tried a whole bunch of scarves (black or lavender colored), Bamboo vs Pashmina (don't know material, no such thing as "100% pashmina", pashmina is 100% cashmere handcombed from goat so NEVER less than $50+, but at this price I'm NOT expecting real). Hands down, bamboo is softer & finer weave (the finer the weave the less the pulling) and Doesn't Pill over time (unlike acrylic, terrible). All pashminas were still soft but not as soft as bamboo & coarser weave. I've only given the pashmina as gift so don't know how it "wears" over time. Here's the final results, from best down in my opinion:

    Naturally Knotty Bamboo Scarf 70" x 28"
Heaviest weight 240g (30% more than others)/finest weave, Black (few color choices). Best for warmth!, $30 ($20 on sale)

    78" X 28" Bamboo Rayon Soft Solid Pashmina Shawl / Wrap / Stole ( 25+ Solid Colors ) (Sakkas)
Lovely (true purple) lavender (a faint bit lighter & more silvery than shown), Slight thinner weight/fine weave $15.99 Winner for color! (FYI. bought a year ago from same vender, was thicker (moderate weight) and lighter pink-silvery lavender), $15.99

Premium Eco-Friendly Silky Soft Bamboo Fiber Shawl / Wrap / Stole - Different Colors Available (TrendsBlue)
Black (few colors, red brightest), moderate weight/fine weave, $15.99

    Hollywood Solid Pashmina Scarf (74" x 28")
Color slightly pinker lavender than depicted, medium-light weight (lighter than Scarf_tradinginc)/coarse weave, $8.99

Scarf_tradinginc Large Soft 100% Pashmina Scarf Shawl Wrap -Various Colors (72" wide X 27")
Color NOT as shown - 2 shades darker than depicted - medium purple-lavender (not silvery), moderate thickness/coarse weave, $8.99

I ordered this for our wedding-vow renewal, as I don't trust the weather (or the air conditioning at the church) quite enough to bare my shoulders in mid-November here.

I debated between several shawls, some of which were significantly cheaper than this one. I'm SO glad I ordered this one, though. The bamboo rayon is SO elegant and silky-soft! I've been meaning to knit myself a shawl from bamboo-rayon yarn, and after experiencing this shawl, that might just be my next knitting project. It is beautiful and will go with my dress exquisitely. It drapes beautifully, is comfortable, and even as a larger woman, this fits me more than adequately.

I do wish it had care instructions; initially, I will hand-wash it and hang it to dry, so as not to cause undue shrinkage.

You will not regret purchasing this shawl. I am absolutely delighted.

This Pashmina Shawl is wonderful. It is light enough for those summer nights when there is a breeze, so not too heavy. It does wrinkle really easily, so be aware. It looks and feels like a much more expensive Pashmina, so I feel it was a great bargain.

Color Name: Forest Green Verified Purchase
I LOVE this shawl! I want to point out that I personally like bamboo fabric MORE than I like pashmina.

A few more things that I wanted to note; the 'Forest Green' is not actually the color pictured. It's more of a dark cyan - kind of a blueish green, a little bit lighter in color. I still absolutely love it and I had already suspected the color would not be exactly as pictured. The shipping was very fast, and the shawl was packaged really well, not squashed or crushed, but neatly folded.

In case you're wondering if you could wear this to a formal event, or with an expensive dress/heels - ABSOLUTELY (since it has a light sheen to it), provided it's one of the darker colors. I wouldn't go with say, the white or pink. I'm actually just going to wear it when I get cold at work, but you could wear it with anything.

Obviously, don't buy this and expect something similar to a pashmina shawl - the fabric is totally different. I think most people know that already, but I thought I'd mention it just in case anyone was wondering. It's a lighter fabric, thinner. It's softer than cotton and will wear much better too. The reason I bought it was actually because I think bamboo is so fantastic!

I just wanted to recommend the product. I have taken one star off for them listing "pashmina" in the description (which I think is intended to mislead people who aren't paying attention), and also for not accurately representing the color. If I can work out how to add a photograph I will.
