this is a great collection of early demos. The Young Marble Giant's masterpiece is "Colossal Youth" though, and I wish they'd carry that. Still, this is a great album, holding vast similarities to Eno (especially Another Green World) and the Magnetic Fields. If you like sound blips via Stereolab, this is their roots.

a prototypical version of what later became the great colossal youth album. id steer new fans to that album (CD includes the testcard ep), while hip archivists will enjoy (or minimally appreciate) this one. originally issued in a cassette pressing of 30, this is a loving reissue with nice reminiscence from bandmember stuart moxham. will give your collection some cred but...
