From School Library Journal
Grade 4-6?Two readable introductory accounts. Guzzetti presents an overview of the building's construction as well as a tour of its rooms today. Not as comprehensive as Leonard Everett Fisher's The White House (Holiday, 1989), which is for slightly older readers, this title is nonetheless serviceable. Kent gives a history of Salem from its founding to the present and pays a great deal of attention to the witch trials. Laurel Van Der Linde's The Devil in Salem Village (Millbrook, 1992) has more information on the trials. Both volumes contain good-quality full-color photos and reproductions and visitors' guides. They will be used for reports but browsers might enjoy the pictures.?Margaret B. Rafferty, Gwinnett-Forsyth Regional Library, GA
