5.0 out of 5 stars Best Deal On Saline Packets!, September 17, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Saline Powder Packets (100) for the SinuCleanse (Health and Beauty)
With my dust and cat allergies, I will sneeze dozens of times in a row. Veramyst helps (but is expensive). Nothing helped after sneezing to clear my sinuses. It took a chance glimpse of an Oprah Show to discover Neti-pots. I purchased my first Neti-Pot with packets of saline crystals from Nasaline Salt Packets - Mixing Saline Solution, 50 pkt., (Nasaline) and it was amazing how fast and clean it worked. The sneezing stopped! I am talking about being in my early fifties and dealing with this problem my entire life!

So when the packets ran out, I bought more Nasaline packets and then NeilMed's Sinus Rinse Pre-Mixed Packets, 100-Count Boxes (Pack of 2). Check out SinuAir Powdered Saline Convenient Packets. After some searching (Target does not always have them, nor do other similar stores), I found SinuCleans to have the best deal on packets. You cannot beat this 100-packet deal for the price. Almost all of the saline packet crystals are the same ingredients. DO NOT, as I tried, using plain bottled water without the saline crystals or plain table salt. You will burn the heck out of your sinuses. You have to use the saline crystals. Here is a great deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comparing 3 Saline Rinse Products, May 31, 2009
This review is from: Saline Powder Packets (100) for the SinuCleanse (Health and Beauty)
Love the SinuAir saline packets that came with my SinuPulse machine (love that, too). For the first time in years and ever since I started with the SinuPulse machine (6/7 months ago), I haven't been on allergy meds, and that awful feeling of discomfort in my nose and sinuses is enormously relieved. I have even skipped the horrible and painful sinus infections that used to lay me out at the same time every year. I still sneeze a bit when an irritant hits me, and my eyes will water when I'm outdoor and exposed to a lot of pollen, but to me, these are completely tolerable. I get migraines far less now also.

I started with SinuAir saline packets, and to save money, have also tried the SinuCleanse packets and now the Himilayan Institute Netipot salt.

I find SinuAir to be absolutely perfect - the dosage provided in the individual packets is perfect for the 500ml (or 2 cup) SinuPulse rinse and the buffering agent takes away any discomfort whatsoever.

With the SinuCleanse, I had to use two packets - cancelling out the savings I'd expected with this product; no buffering agent, and while still a good rinse, not as comfortable as SinuAir.

The NetiPot Salt came instead in a tub, but again, I use twice the dosage for my SinuPulse machine; still a savings but still no buffering agent so not as comfortable as the Sinupulse.

I'm sticking with the SinuAir from here on out. I plan to get a NetiPot for travel. Love the fact that I'm on a completely natural sinus & allergy regime now.

For those who suffer also from tonsil infection, a friend of mine had been on antibiotics for ten years and was scheduled for surgery. She talked to a new ENT and started using the NetiPot about 6 months ago - surgery has been cancelled and she's also off the antibiotics.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than plain salt, April 7, 2009

I've been using a Neti pot (with pharmaceutical grade salt) for about a year now. Often I'd get a stinging sensation, which (according to the various info sources I found online) means that either I was using too much or too little salt, or that the water was either too warm or too cold. I tried adjusting the variables one at a time, but never got rid of the sting. When I bought a plastic Neti pot for traveling, it came with SinuCleanse packets, and I decided to try them out. It took a couple of days to get totally used to the sodium bicarbonate buffering, but the sting was gone from Day 1. I'm a convert.
