I'm sorry I somehow have missed Sally Kellerman's nightclub show around town, but having this CD, is like bringing it home. If you're not relaxed after listening to this recording, you're wound too tight. Thanks for a lovely record, SK.

Pleasant surprise from one of the sexiest voices ever,

Simply put, Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing was synonymous with delicious and sexy, thanks in large part to the voice behind the adverts. Cue to Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield, and yet again, that voice. It's so cool, it's so silky... hell why doesn't this woman record a cd. Decades later, she figures, why not and does so. A pleasant mix of jazz tunes with her unmistakable instrument and you have a cd that isn't going to beg for you to melt it from overplaying, but you will be pleasantly surprised. Highlight tracks were Say it Ain't so, Sugar in My Bowl and Love potion #9 though most of the album is quite nice with the exception of I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. A pity to end on what was for me a slightly bum note, but this shows that no matter the age, if you put your mind to something, give it your all. I think it's a great message for women of all ages and Sally has to be proud of tackling yet another medium.

Love Sally but...,

I usually dislike it when crooners want to do versions of popular rock songs.
There are a few exceptions: Susan Boyle's version of Wild Horses shocked the BeBop out of me, but whoever arranged it was really talented had a a real feel for the song and Susan did a great job of delivering it. Sally, doesn't have arrangers with that talent. I like this album, but the times that I've heard her sing she did songs meant for her type of arrangement. I like Sally for the most part, but I'd like an album where Ms. Kellerman sings torch songs from the 20's, 30's, and/or 40's or maybe Burt Bacharach is available. I think she has a lot of depth, but most of these songs don't show us that.
