From the Author

Introducing Sally's Contemporary Romance or Family Life  / Action Adventure stories

Welcome to my 'Sally' Series of stories. These are in episodic form, and follow the lives of Sally and Robert as they set up home, and follow a life of romance and adventure in the Highlands of Scotland. Although they follow a definite pattern (as is the case with episode's) each episode is written as a stand-alone story in its own right - so don't be afraid to 'jump in' anywhere along the line.

Aviemore, the small town at the centre of the story, is very much a real place and certainly worth a visit if you are ever in Scotland. Indeed, most of the places mentioned in the stories are in fact real places, though the names may have been altered for privacy's sake. The green lochan for instance is a fantastic place for a picnic - and it is actually an opaque green colour. Do fairies really wash their clothes there?

Although these episodes are categorised as contemporary romance, I have to admit that there is as much action and adventure included, especially in the later stories. Contemporary romance it seems, is a little more 'gritty' these days than Sally and Robert would be happy with - the Highland idea of morals a little more adverse to 'getting you're kit out' perhaps!
I have visited and stayed in Aviemore many times, and continue to do so whenever I get the chance. It is a quiet peaceful town, surrounded by spectacular mountains and beautiful highland scenery. - Ideal for long walks and planning the next Sally book! This Highland town is popular both in summer and winter for the many outdoor pursuits available; with Skiing in the  Cairngorm Mountains, being the major draw over the winter period.

Through these stories, I invite you to share and experience (albeit vicariously) the life of Sally and Robert, along with their growing family; as they settle into life in the highlands of Scotland. Encountering adventure and tribulation as well as love and romance - even murder mystery ! -  life's twists and turns ensure that drama and intrigue, is never far away from the Lindsey household.

I love romance books. This one is the best I have read in a very long time. Be prepared for mystery and suspense wrapped up in romance. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone that love romance novels. Very well written.

Boring. about the same as the 1st episode. Nothing going for it. No 'substance' in the subjects and No substance in the writing. Very juvenile writing.

I was wanting more out of Sally and this 'next book' of the Sally's Destiny Series didn't satisfy me as much as the first one did, which was considerably longer. So forgive me as I give a whimsical, fictionalized review and critique. Perhaps with help from other readers, a constructive writing aid may be presented to the author. We like you Sally, and want more of you. Future success depends on bringing more meat to the table for your audience.

In "Sally's Return," Sally is reclined in Seat A, Row 48 in the tail section of a passenger packed Virgin Airlines Boeing 777-300 jetliner, headed in the general direction of Scotland. Sally is dreaming now, fidgeting in her stiff chair as the cabin lights are lowered for the in-flight movie: "The Santa Clause II." In her dream, torment ahead as she faces a sexual assault from her worthless boss, whose shadowy personage becomes that of a young inferior man, who rides a Harley with no visible tattoos and uses Sominex sleeping pills as his wine-spiking date-rape concoction of choice.

Meanwhile, doctors in Scotland are at a loss to diagnose old Agnes, who has come down with the dreaded 'sticky key' typewriter syndrome. (Read this book to discover this ailment.) Sally now dreams, she is aboard an airplane, seated next to a British Nobleman named Sir Malcolm, who smells like an old coat rack and is as boring and bland as kidney pie. She can't jump out of the plane, so she begins to run.

"I'll never fly business class as long as I live!" Sally's words repeating as they echo throughout the plane. Suddenly she is awakened with a slap to her motley jaw by a flight steward who embraces her while demanding, "Wake up lady, you're sleep-walking. This is business class. You're seated in economy.
