Not Waterproof,

I thought this boot was awesome, until I stepped into a stream. The boots are definitely not waterproof, and they get worse with wear. This was only my second winter with them and they have gotten much worse. I was snowshoeing last month during a warmer day when the snow was melting. After an hour I was wet and after two or three they had soaked through. The name of the shoe is Deemax DRY so I figured they were waterproof, so I was disappointed. BUT when the temps are below freezing with no snowmelt, these shoes are great. Light and warm, I have been down to zero temps and very comfortable. Flexibility and weight of a trail runner with insulation of a good winter boot. Unfortunately they are useless to me because they are not reliably waterproof. This experience has made me skeptical of the soft-shell.
