5.0 out of 5 stars Salsa Crazy 3 Beginners Instructional DVD
If you ask me, this one is the best DVD of the first three because by the time you're ready for it, you're not so focused on learning movements but more so on just dancing to the beat. There are some neat combinations and fun turns that are taught during this lesson.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but boring

I have been taking Salsa lessons for about 6 months now. You can say I am an intermediate level, this DVD did not add much to my previous experience in dancing. The instructor was not very amusing and encouraging and as a lady I was looking for more styling on the woman's part. This review is from: Salsa Crazy Presents: Learn to Salsa Dance, Volume 3: Salsa Dancing Guide for Beginners (DVD)

I have been taking Salsa lessons for about 6 months now. You can say I am an intermediate level, this DVD did not add much to my previous experience in dancing. The instructor was not very amusing and encouraging and as a lady I was looking for more styling on the woman's part. On the other hand the DVD quality is very good although the music in the background was not clear cause the instructor's voice was too noisy, louder than the music it self. The only good part of the DVD is that the steps are explained in a very detailed manner which is good for the people who have never learned the combinations tought in this DVD before. But for me it did not add much to my experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars go 4 it, October 25, 2005

Thought I'd tell people about this miracle DVD. In just 3 months I've advanced myself from volume 1 to 3.Had I been taking regular classes I'd still be slogging at the basics, spending money profusely. It's no regret about buying this DVD. The instructions are meticulously explained and you'll find no difficulty in learning each and every step. I recommended this DVD to few of my closest friends and they were also quite pleased and happy with it. We had a party the other day and the theme was' Latino' and we left everyone stunned by showing our sexy moves. Now what people don't know is that we learnt each and every step at home, now that's something difficult to swallow. But thanks to this wonderful DVD...few weeks down the line we'd be dancing like real professionals

Salsa Crazy DVD is about putting what you've learned in the first two DVDs to use and having fun with it. You'll practice quite a few turns and crossovers and other moves to make Salsa dancing more than a six-count step. Best of all, both men and women can learn what each of them should be doing so they can do it together. It's official. I have learned to Salsa and I like it.

The Volume 3 for Beginners is the best tutorial, which could inspire any dancers. I hope the tutor could add in the lady's foot steps on Shine. Currently only leader's shine foot steps demonstrated in the video. However, this DVD is still the best!

I've been through all three Beginner DVDs from Salsa Crazy but this one is my favorite. It has just the right pacing for me and though after three months of using the DVD I have all the movements down, I still enjoy it because it provides such a good workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended!!!!, January 11, 2006
This review is from: Salsa Crazy Presents: Learn to Salsa Dance, Volume 3: Salsa Dancing Guide for Beginners (DVD)
Hi everyone! I'm Sarah and I would like to tell everyone about this amazing DVD. I know you'd be thinking" What's so great about this DVD?"...true there are so many DVD's available that promise you this and that and in the end it's a big disappointment. You're not gonna regret getting one for yourself. I was a bit hesitant on buying it but once I watched the video...I went berserk started dancing with the rhythm, the counts, following the instructors and couldn't help myself from falling in love with salsa. Everything is so much in detail and nothing is boring. I would rate this DVD 10/10. Anyone interested in salsa...I recommend this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just dancing, moving in harmony., December 7, 2005
This review is from: Salsa Crazy Presents: Learn to Salsa Dance, Volume 3: Salsa Dancing Guide for Beginners (DVD)
The first DVD in the Learn to Dance Salsa series was all about getting the footwork down with some attention to hip and arm movements. The second focused on turning patterns and the importance of hand, arm and palm placement for directing / being directed on the dance floor. Now, during the third DVD in the SalaCrazy Learn to Dance Salsa series, it's all about the partners; more specifically, showing dance partners how to dance with one another and to do it in sync so that the dance is both energetic and graceful.

Some of the moves dancers using this DVD will learn include the cross-body lead and the cape plus how to incorporate each of those basic Salsa moves with various turns and patterns. And while a majority of this DVD is focused on how to do moves with a partner, there is a pause for some instruction on solo action for times when you and your partner have let go of one another. Footwork shines, to be exact. Once you learn those, they will be another technique that you can insert into your patterns to really make the Salsa dance moves your own.

Some of the features that carry over from the previous DVDs in the SalsaCrazy series include the signature SalsaCrazy close-up view of dance moves and clear, step-by-step instructions. Hosts Evan Margolin and Moira Denike also continue to provide tips for both leaders (men) and followers (women) so that the complex patterns being taught can be executed properly. Dance etiquette lessons are also included as a bonus feature on the DVD.

Overall, I would say that Learn to Dance: Beginners Volume 3 is definitely worth picking up if interested in learning to Salsa dance. Keep in mind though, volume three is designed for dancers who already have a working dancing knowledge of Salsa dancing. If that's not you, you may want to go ahead and start with one or both of the first two SalsaCrazy Learn to Dance Salsa Beginners DVDs. I've also written reviews for those.

This review is from: Salsa Crazy Presents: Learn to Salsa Dance, Volume 3: Salsa Dancing Guide for Beginners (DVD)
I have been learning salsa for the past 4 months now and I simply love it. I have already finished volume 1 and 2 and now m beginning "Learn to Salsa, volume 3" which is really groovy. I can say I am in the intermediate level now and I simply can't wait to get to the next level. This DVD is amazing.

It takes me a minute to learn things-especially dance moves-so the close ups on the feet are my favorite part of the Salsa Crazy DVDs. As for the music and sound, I thought it was fine. Maybe "Lolo" just had a scratchy copy...or her equipment was acting up???
