There hasn't been one recipe that hasn't been great! Everyone who has had a bite of a recipe from this book has wanted to borrow it. It is a must for anyone who likes salsa from mild to spicy to hot. The recipes are easy to follow and make.

Not sure what is the difference between a chile pasillo and a chile ancho? Love eating salsa but never seem to be able to make a decent bowl of it? Just want to add a new salsa dish to your repertoire? Turn to Salsa by Reed Hearon. This little cook book has simple, easy to follow recipes. Author offers a great guide on identify and locate the many different ingredientes as well as clear instructions on how to prepare the various dishes. Try out the peanut/ chipotle salsa!

I am known for my salsa recipes and this one takes me to new ideas...wish it was bigger, but at least t gives me inspiration to create more! Nice book. Great color and explanation of everything....pictures!

'Salsa - musica for your mouth' includes not only recipes, but techniques, equipment and descriptions of a large variety of ingredients. And not just traditional salsas, but also a few dessert salsas as well as some modern salsa recipes that "break the rules." Most of the recipes appear more complicated than I want to attempt, but intriguing, none the less. My favorite has to be the simple and versatile pico de gallo. It's been a very long time since I purchased a cookbook. This one was a great investment!
