Valerie Aikman-Smith is a food stylist and writer based in Los Angeles. She trained in her native Scotland and started her career cooking, including working with Alice Waters at the legendary Chez Panisse in Berkeley. Valerie then turned to food styling for film, television, commercials, and print. Her work has been featured in magazines including Bon Appetit, Sunset, More, and Vogue, among other publications, on TV in "Everyday Italian" with Giada De Laurentiis, and in the movies "Titanic" and "Ocean's Eleven."
