now you're cookin' with gas!, November 26, 2004
This review is from: Salt Lick (Audio CD)
this album is what the ideal soundtrack to maximum overdrive by stephen king would be. the music, like a mack truck, doesn't need to be going 100 mph to leave you a mess (in a good way!). my appreciation of this album is a purely visceral reaction to the music, Tad's voice, the unreal aural assault of the instruments - it all combines to make one of my favorite albums of all time. i highly recommend keeping a close eye on your speed if you listen to this in the car!

TAD at their best!, March 13, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Salt Lick (Audio CD)
These two albums: "Salt Lick" and "Gods Balls" are TAD at their hick image and Grunge/Sludge hybrid best. Think of them as the Northeast's answer to Crowbar. This has to be the darkest Grunge album of all time. TAD,The Melvins, and Soundgarden should have been what Grunge was all about (screw Nirvana!)
My favorite songs on here are 'Wood Goblins','Pork Chop','Helot', and 'Axe to Grind'. If you like this album (and you will), check "Houdini" from The Melvins and "Badmotorfinger" from Soundgarden. Also, be sure to look out in 2007 for unreleased TAD material! Enjoy!
