Cookbook is well-organized and informative. Recipes are easily modified to fit one's tastes and needs. Lists calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, cholesterol, and sodium per serving. Only drawback is that it doesn't list sugars (for those folks with high triglycerides or diabetics). Though no REFINED sugar is added to any of the recipes, sugar may exist in some of the ingredients used and may come in the form of fruit juices. Though the sugar is "natural," it can make a big difference to one's diet! Sections include: appetizers and snacks, breakfast, beans, beef, chicken, seafood, soups, vegetables, grains, and desserts. Recipes can be modified for a vegan or vegetarian diet.

This is a book that was recommended for my mother by her cardiologist many years ago. My mother passed on 5 years ago and the book became misplaced. I decided to try Amazon to get it and I now have it. Love this book!

This book has some very good tips on how I can improve on cooking with no salt or fat. It will certainly help with the sugar to.

My wife was recently told by her doctor to significantly reduce her salt and sugar intake, and we found there were very few such recipes available either in book stores or on the internet. However we eventually discovered this book on the American Amazon, and have found the recipes quite useful. Just a pity that there are not a few more main meal chicken options. Particularly liked the baked salmon recipe which we have eaten several times.

My husband was recently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and was put on a low-sodium diet of less than 1500mg of salt a day. My husband's choice of food has been radically changed. I was so looking forward to this cookbook and the recipes. Unfortunately there were only a couple of recipes that I will be able to use. There are a number of low-fat and low sugar recipes, but not enough low-salt recipes to be worth the money.

I found that many of the recipes did not fully state the sodium content. This is too critical for me to use this book effectively
