I bought this because I needed to weigh some ingreedients for a cake I was making, and, living in a small town, had no other options.

Five bucks is a fair price for this thing. It measures accurately, if you don't mind getting on eye-level with the counter to read it. Setting it to zero is kinda a pain, as a full twist of the knob only moves the needle about 1/8 of an ounce. But, if you're in a pinch or have low expectations, this thing does a fine job.

I've got a Baker's Dream scale on it's way to replace it, because this little thing just does not meet the needs of anyone who needs a serious cooking scale. But I suppose that's not quite what it's designed for.

Decent, does it's job, very small. Good enough if that's all you need.

This food scale worked perfectly for me! I have been trying to lose weight by controlling my portions and this was exactly what I needed. The scale measures in both grams and ounces, and the best part is that it is so light-weight (yet durable), and it comes in a compact storage tuperware container that also doubles as a food container. It is small and light enough that I can take it anywhere. I really love it!

For the price and the convenience, this scale is exactly what I wanted. The weigh and save container makes it very easy to weigh lunch in the morning before work, or a snack for a trip.

Wow, this Salter kitchen scales is highly accurate. I always get a perfect bake everytime. I definitely recommend this product. You'll never be disapointed with its quality.

this scale is great for the price..I recently bought one at Kmart that I just threw away......nice how it fits in to the dish and easy to store...perfect for weight watchers

I am very pleased with my new food scale. I can now weigh anything before I eat it, making sure I'm not exceeding the calories that I want for that day, enabling me to control my weight and it helps me eat in a smart, healthy way.

Inexpensive yet surprisingly accurate for weighing those items under a pound (like brewing hops!). Take in mind it's plastic, and not real fancy, but it does the job. It has a lid and can also be used as a storage container, which is a plus. This was a replacement for a similar 17 oz Progressive brand scale which was also pretty accurate, but fell out of wack after a few months of use. So far the Salter's been spot on.

I love this little scale. It is accurate and entirely convenient.
I wish I had ordered more of them to use as stocking stuffers!

This product is not only inexpensive, it is fulfilling almost all of my kitchen need of a scale. I bought one for myself 3-4 years ago, and it is still working for me beautifully. I just bought another one for my mom last month, and hopefully she will use it and love it as much as I did.

At five dollars (at the time I purchased), it is a good buy. I had one that broke after a couple of years use. The zero-setting knob became detached from whatever it is attached to inside. But, for the price, I just bought another one. I like how it all stores in the storage container.
