I was very please with the look of this scale, the design, the functionality, everything. I bought it so that I could weigh out my baking ingredients rather than measure in cups and I couldn't be more happy.

Looks great, but accurancy is highly suspect. Pour your ingredients in, then tap the dish, it shoots up 3 or 4 ounces, so what are you measuring? Take the dish off and put it back on it goes way below what was originally measured out. So what is the deal? Do I have 8 ounces in here or not? I dont get it. I dont recommend if you are a real cook and just want to know how many ounces/grams you need for a dish.

This solidly-built Salter scale is both beautiful and well-designed. The basket allows a good quantity of ingredients to be measured. The scale shows measurements both in grams and ounces-- useful if working off of French family recipes!

PS I have not experienced the weight discrepancies mentioned by another poster.
