Received this as an early release and I am thrilled with it's suberp quality and design.

The three compartments will cook the food seperately (one or two at a time) or all together. If you cook them together, the timers will count down backwards so that all of your food is finished at the same time.

Cooks rice and cornbread REALLY well and I can't stop eating the parsley red potatoes it steams.

Cleanup is easy - dishwasher safe and the all-plastic parts wipe down really well. With the steam cooking, nothing ever bakes or fried onto the plastic!

The design is very clever and the pieces are very well-made. They all fit together nicely, even after 2 months of use.

Wish the included bowl was larger and had a tupper-type resealable lid, but these are my only complaints so far.

The food is delicious and the portions are easy to control for my family of 2 or when we have company over.

As always, be careful of the steam when opening the compartments and I don't recommend placing it under a cabinet due to possible damage from the steam while cooking.

Steamer is also VERY LARGE. It is almost 2 feet wide by 1 foot deep. It will cook a LOT of food, but may not be suited for motorhomes that have very limited space. On the other hand, it would replace a stove and oven in a small kitchen area.

Steam Heat has so many features that can't be found on a standard vertical steamer. The best feature is that I can program different times for differnet types of food so that each is steamed to perfection and they are all ready at the same time. The steamer switches to keep warm mode for 60 minutes after the food has finished steaming so that is really cool too.

Another plus, because of the horizontal design, the flavors stay in their own bowl and don't mix with the other foods being steamed.

I made a deliciously decadent chocolate cake in the steamer too. Yes, you can make desserts in the Steam Heat as well as healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners and appetizers too. If you thought steaming was just for fish and veggies, think again.

This steamer is fabulous and works like a charm

I have tried about every gadget and this one works like it says and clean-up really is a snap in the dishwasher.

I like the fact that it has 3 timers but no matter what they are all done at the same time so dinner is served at the same time. It also will keep the food warm on a warm cycle.

The rice and veggies and fish all come out perfect everytime.

It encourages you to steam and eat lots of fresh veggies by being so easy to use and clean.

You will love it if you get it!

My wife and I split cooking chores. I find it very easy with the information that came with the steamer to fix dinner. I can put veggies in one section, meat in another and maybe rice in the third. After setting the times for each of the foods and starting the cooking process, I don,t have to keep checking or setting timers to remember when to start cooking the next item. Everything is finished at the same time a done as it should be. Best item that we have bought in a long time for kitchen use.

I love this thing. I use it everyday. I love the fact that I can steam 3 different things at 3 different time settings. Best steamer on the market in my opinion.

This machine works surprisingly well. I am able to prepare a complete meal without having to hang over it during the cooking time as I would on a stove or in an oven. The flavours of the foods do not intermingle; each pocket of food maintains its own taste. The timer system allows the complete meal to be done all together and the accompanying guide is right on target.

An excellent steamer with three separate compartments that can be set for different times so the veggies are all ready at the same time. Easy to clean. This is a large steamer and will prepare food for a family.

I steamed several ears of corn in the steamer and they turned out great. I haven't tried the rice yet. I will say the steamer is very large and takes up a lot of space on the counter. There are also too many pieces to wash even if you only use 1 compartment. I liked the idea that you can put different items in and the program with have them finish at the same time. Also, the programming was very simple and easy to use. Overall, if you plan to steam a lot everyday, this is the steamer for you. If you only steam vegetables, consider a smaller unit.

This steamer is fantastic. I highly recommend it for those preparing a full meal. If you want to only prepare one small item, you might not want this steamer because it's so large and a lot to clean just for using one compartment of the three.

PROS:

-Cooks entire meals at once.

-All food compartments are done at same time (steamer counts backwards from largest timed item to lowest so that all food is done at same time)

- Food comes out delicous (salmon, yams, hardboiled eggs, all sorts of vegetables, grains, etc.)

- Steamer tray has a flavor well below each unit so that you can enhance the flavor of foods by steaming spices in the appropriate flavor tray.

- You can use one, two, or all three compartments - it's up to you.

CONS:

- Steamer is large (length is size of two square dinner plants side-by-side). This unit is a lot to clean if you are just using one steamer compartment.

- Water indicator shows a lot of condensation. As a result, sometimes you can't tell if there's enough water in the unit during a steamer cycle. If the unit continously beeps at you while it's steaming, put more water in. I found that tipping the unit back and forth slightly will help you see where the water level is.

A steamer is the one kitchen appliance I cannot do without. I have two steamers. One Krups small steamer for steaming oatmeal every morning and then this one. I love this one so much I was thinking of buying another one because this item has been discontinued - just so I have a spare.

This is the best steamer I've ever had. The only exception is that it's so large you might not want to bother steaming just one food item in it--which is why I also have a smaller steamer.

It works great, everything comes out at the same time. I love it. Great if you like to steam everything, which I do.
