At 340 pages thick, this book whets the readers appetite, and has sent me on a hunt for more definitive works. Great pictures, in-depth species information, but nothing practical (technique-wise) that you wouldn't find out on a good charter. If you are a marlin fan, this book has been heavily slanted towards you.

The book is poorly organized, so it is difficult to figure out what you need to know to catch a specific fish. Not what I had hoped for, but certainly has nice pictures. More a coffee table book than a useful piece of info.

lots of pictures and diagrams. It does not though go deep into the subject.It covers mostly the marlin showing some nice pics

I bought this for my husband as a gift and it was very well received. Beautiful photos and some fabulous articles for the keenest fisherman. A must have for any rod mad man!
