I am a professional voice actress and, since my voice is my instrument, I have to take the very best care of it. A friend of mine in Nova Scotia was always going on about Alpenkraft syrup. I couldn't locate it at any natural food store around here so FINALLY after suffering through a terribly cold/cough situation where the over-the-counter cough syrup was drying me out to such an extent that it was doing more harm than good to my voice, I relented and searched Amazon for the Alpenkraft and ... lo and behold ... there it was! I ordered it ... it came quickly ... I started taking it and I'll never go back to anything else. It is WONderful. Soothing ... non-drying ... calming. I get a great night's sleep and whenever I begin to cough or feel a bit of scratchiness in my throat, I take a dose and within minutes I'm feeling oh so much better. This is a product I will always, ALWAYS have on hand. Thanks ... it's a terrific product.

I don't usually buy products with such few reviews, however something told me to buy it and I can tell you I am not at all dissapointed. I thank God I found this product. It could be that I am going through the last days of my flu/cold/cough issues, but I was feeling sick on Monday I had a fever and I was depleting my Kleenex supplies. I didnt have a cough anymore, but still felt hoarse. It came at night, took 10 ml then took another 10 ml before I went to bed. I dont know what is in this thing, but the next morning I woke up with less congestion, virtually no phlegm. I actually had to stop myself to realize that I wasn't feeling crappy anymore. By late evening I had a coughing fit it was gone within 40 seconds of taking the syrup.

I don't know what is in this, but this is definetly not just for cough. I hope it gets more recognition, but not to the point where it goes up in price because the price is very hefty already. Since I was feeling very sick I had it overnight and that really broke the bank. I was dissapointed that it wasnt bigger for that price though I got to say. I am now treating it like liquid gold.

Sometimes God puts people and nature together for healing and things like this comes out. Once I feel completely recovered I will freeze it and make a note to keep on freezer/fridge continually.

I cannot believe it. It could have been that I was just meant to feel better, but I don't believe in coincidences like this.

I have been buying this Alpenkraft Cough Syrup from my Nutritionist for several years now. It has a pleasant taste that even my children welcome. My Nutritionist suggested to keep it in the freezer, so I do and it keeps longer (unless the whole family is suffering w/coughs at the time). When taking out of the freezer it takes a few minutes to warm a little, but then it pours out nice and thick and my children (ages 2,7,and 8)actually like it better frozen than just refrigerated. I even felt comfortable about the ingredients giving it to my youngest when he was 1 year old and he liked it. I love it for a sore throat and cough. I am very glad that Amazon.com offers this on their website.
