A mix of jazz and pop this album is easily one of my top 10 of all time. Unbelievable recording quality combined with superb music make this an album that absolutely everyone should own. I play this for people who've never heard of Martin Stephenson before and they, without fail, want to know where to buy it. I love this CD. Buy it and be amazed!

I'd never heard of this band until I saw them opening for Melissa Etheridge on her Brave & Crazy tour in 1989. What a fun bunch of people! By the time the lead singer brought out the tuba for the title tune on this album, the audience was completely won over. My favorites on this album are "Left Us To Burn" (great saxophone), "Spoke In The Wheel", "Too Much In Love", "We Are Storm" and the title song. The lead singer reminded me a lot of Mark Knopfler. I believe if you like one song on this album, you'll like them all. Like Simply Red, Martin Stephenson & the Daintees are keeping American soul/R&B alive for the younger folks.
