I had read that this product won an award and was intrigued by it. After using it a number of times and washing it in a delicate bag in the laundry (air dry) I can say that this is a great bathing item. You can open it up and clean your back or fold it up to scrub arms/legs etc. My preference is to use it with a liquid soap like Dr. Bronner's but I'm sure it would work with bar soap. Exfoliates very well and allows you to reach parts that you can't with a washcloth. I also really love that I can machine wash it for sanitary reasons.
