These are the same recordings as on the 1959 album, "O Violao De Luiz Bonfa," which has also been reissued on the Smithsonian-Folkways album "Live In Rio, 1959," although that disc includes an additional fifteen unreleased performances and has more comprehensive liner notes. Either album will be quite satisfying; this one has the advantage of concision and of better reflecting the original record.
