I have this CD on the RCA Bluebird label. It is one of my all time favorite "Drummer" albums (and I have a lot of them). I bought this CD many many years ago and even then it was a cutout. I believe the source material was Morello's early 60's RCA album and a 2nd unreleased one. Regardless of the source it is excellent...$99 worth of excellence, well I can't say for sure. I'm sure it's quite rare these days and I know I'm very happy I bought it when I did (for $5.99). I probably wouldn't consider selling mine for much less than $99. Of course the week after you paid a hundred bucks for it someone like Collectables Records might re-release it as a budget CD.

"....In 1961, RCA released Joe's first album under his own name which was fitting entitled It's About Time [RCA LPM-2486] which finds Joe in the company of a quintet made up of Phil Woods [alto sax], Gary Burton [vibes] John Bunch [piano] and Gene Cherico [bass]. It's a corker of an album that was subsequently released in CD as JOE MORELLO[RCA Bluebird 9784-2-RB] and COMBINES THE SIX QUINTET TRACKS THAT MADE UP THE ORIGINAL LP WITH....TRACKS FROM PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED 1961-62 BIG BAND SESSIONS that were arranged and conducted by Manny Albam and which featured a bevy of prominent New York studio players...."

I have received this CD which I ordered here on Amazon. It is a BMG/RCA/Bluebird production. The track listing on this CD is a follows with selections 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12 & 13 being from the 1961 recorded "It's About Time" album. Tracks 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9 and 15 were previously unreleased before this 1989 CD release per the CD booklet insert.

There is no info on this what so ever

I read somewhere that this self-titled album contains selections from *It's About Time* and big band recordings, that it features Phil Woods & Gary Burton and was originally released in 1961. But this could be heresay.
