I think this song is well written and exceptionally composed. It's an important message to the world, and especially the hip-hop community.

Good timing for Washington State R-74! Not badmouthed or shouty. I really liked the music video, which is on youtube, too!

Me: Oh, Gods of Hip Hop... please send us some music that doesn't revolve around drugs, money, materialism, and reducing women to sexual tools. Give us something with some grit, a kick ass beat, a rich hook, but with some lyrics that actually have some social value.

Them: Okay. We got Macklemore on it. It'll be called The Heist. We'll throw in some other badass artists like Mary Lambert for letting P. Diddy, Jay Z, and Kanye get away with so many brain dead lyrics. Fair?

Me: That'll work.

The first time that I heard this song, it moved me to the point that I had tears in my eyes. The first time that I watched the video for it, the same thing happened. These lyrics are amazing, the tune is catchy, and I'm so glad that a song like this is on an album that is experiencing mainstream success. It gives me faith in lyricists and the hope for a more accepting, beautiful future in which all identities are recognized and respected.

One of the most real and honest songs to come outta hip hop in a very long time! This is where the genre should be heading. Cant help but feel it regardless of where you stand. Keep up the good work! I look forward to hearing more like this. Peace.

Great beat and authentic sound this is unbelievable music. Finally the to rap industry has an artist with lyrics that speak to hurting LGBT young people.
