It is good to see Lee back on the music scene. No one sings a good ballad like Lee Greenwood. His voice is so serene and calming to the ears. Its good to see you back. This is his best yet. If you dont have it now, you're missing out.

Lee Greenwood has a unique voice and this new cd is very good. He seems to get better all the time, if that is possible.

Sheer Down-To-Earth American Music!,
By Everett Green "Inverto-Guajardian Music Thera... (Seattle, Wa) - See all my reviews

This is one of those rare gems that exude an optimistic spirit even in heartwrenching tunes like "The Only Thing I care About," in which a man mourns the loss of love to another. Lee Greenword keenly hits on such a theme that I can only compare to Marc Almond during his "Soft Cell" days. The Guajardian overtones really give you that "heartbreak-yet-hopeful" ode that men with deep emotions can understand. The opening "Gotta Get Your Heart Right" delivers the merry non-conformist honesty that any true American should have the courage to display (and Greenwood is the archetype of American Patriotism!). What makes this tune stand out is an unusual playful tone that is reminiscent of the late Sylvester James. If Sylvester was still around, one could only imagine what a concert he and Lee could produce! Lee Greenwood is one of those unique American individuals proudly expresses his love for our free land. The upbeat tempo of these songs has inspired me to to my aerobics to these tunes. I turn the volume down on the TV, crank "Gotta Get Your Heart Right," and look into the TV screen as Richard Simmons unwittingly leads the exercise to Lee Greenwood tunes! This album is a must for ALL music lovers. |
