An old fan raves,

The best ska/reggae record ever! To hear this music live is an experience that grooves the senses and inspires the soul. A must see event for anyone that owns this record and loves the message. They move you through an evening like no other band around. Think The Slackers but smarter and with more depth. Excellent!

I have yet to see The Secondhands perform live though I can only imagine that it would be even better than listening to the album.Thoughtfully arranged and a joy to the ears, this album sticks in your mind like that first love you had as a teenager. Get it, hear it, and you will agree. Here's hoping that The Secondhands will be appearing at a local venue near you in the not so distant future.

Root-Down Music for the Brave!,

I bought this disc after a Secondhands show in Kansas City. This band was an impressive live group, with a ton of energy...I was blown away. The record is fabulous...they put a lot of time into the arrangements, which come across as 60's jamaica-meets-50's jazz-meets(um...country?).This band has put out a well-built instrumental record...great for chilling out to, cleaning your house, or whatever else the music does for you...enjoy!

This CD is one of a slew of amazing recordings to come out of a recording studio in Lawrence, Kansas, called z'gwon,th studios. The Same Trains is a delightful spin from the raucous start of "Chew & Swallow" to the tasty closer "Durango". New instrumental music, with a respectful nod to the past, but with a signature sound that is easily identifiable and recognizable. The Secondhands be righteous.
