5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable sling that makes sense for people with shoulder/arm issues., July 14, 2005
By

Most typical slings not in the upper cost range put the entire weight of someone's arm onto just one spot on the body; that spot is often directly opposite the area of injury for someone in need of a sling [it's over the clavicle, which is above the brachial plexis, which are two main factors that can cause someone to be in pain in the arm or shoulder.

Normal slings make the assumption leap that the only thing injured is one shoulder on the person, when in reality when people are injured it may be that one shoulder is injured more than another but it is rarely the case that the rest of the body is 100% when the injured shoulder is under 25%.

This type of sling, which I have used for several years, helps by having a significant portion of the weight carried by the waist and, in effect, the legs and back [properly] instead of the one specific point on the other shoulder.

This is a good buy and makes a lot of sense for one's health.
