The 'swing and sway' style of bandleader Sammy Kaye's orchestra was immensely popular during the 1940's and 1950's, and his ensemble scored over 100 charted hits. Following his tremendous radio success, Kaye moved on to an even greater success with is own TV show. These original Columbia recordings feature some of Kaye's biggest hits, including 'Harbour Lights,' 'Walkin' to Missouri,' and 'Longing For You'. A Collectables release.

Sammy Kaye was by far the best and most idiomatic of all the bands of easy to listen music of these golden decades. Hi inimitable style really engages and captivates since the first single bar. Balance between expression and lyricism, an impressive first order quality of sound and that unique mood makes of this album a peerless issue.
