I never realized how many cds I own, that have Sammy Figueroa on it.Miles Davis(man with the horn),tons of brecker bros.,Dave Valentin,Ruben Blades and many others.But here "Sammy walked in" on his own as a leader and he's presenting very alive and exciting Latin Jazz. Finally somebody is playing Latin Jazz with fun and fire! Sammy and his very capable musicians manage to instill an uplifting experience into the music and it feels great everytime I listen to it.The cd also has a very nice variety of tunes and grooves on it, so it's perfect in many situations.One of which I found to be the morning rush hour... Definitely a recommended buy!

I love this CD. It is Latin jazz at it's best. All the players sound great and the tunes are wonderful. Highly recommended!!!Eric

This really takes me back to some carefree days spent in Miami during my youth. Fantastic arrangements with Niko's Dream probably topping it for me. Billboard has this listed as a hot jazz album, and they're right!!!

A great album from a percussionist that has had a stellar career as a sideman. The musicians are world class and the tunes are refreshing. Highly recommended!

Sammy Figueroa is probably one of the most talented percussionists of our time. This CD is full of charm, beautiful music that involves you to ecstasy. I saw him play live in Miami Beach's Van Dyke and he's absolutely stunning.
