Amazon.com Review
Even though she's sometimes pretty messy, and she doesn't always get things right (like when she squirts toothpaste all over the floor), Sam's sister Sophie is okay in his book. She laughs at his puppet shows, sings when he plays piano, and splashes entertainingly when they take a bath together. Sam loves his little sister. Toddlers will love Sophie, too, especially those who have already met her endearing bunny brother in Yves Got's other Sam titles, including
Sam's Big Book of Words and
Sam Loves Kisses. Got's boldly outlined illustrations of the pink-eared pair, against a clean white backdrop with a flat purple floor, are immensely appealing. Sophie seems to have inherited Sam's blue teddy bear (
Sweet Dreams, Sam), whose own quiet antics, when noticed by sharp-eyed readers, will bring an extra giggle. This little board book is a great gift for youngsters with new siblings, reminding them of the fun times ahead. (Baby to preschool)

The titular white bunny is back in two new board books: Sam's Little Sister and Sam Loves Kisses by Yves Got. In the first, Sam lists the things he and his sister, Sophie, do together. In the latter, he chronicles an array of kisses. (Apr.)
