Sam's Pizza: A culinary masterpiece,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sam's Pizza (Paperback)
My 5 year old son and I found this book absolutely charming. We love the pop-ups and the layering of the pages that create a gross yet extremely humorous suprise. I would recommend it to any parent who wants a not so educational but highly entertaining way to spend time with their child. I don't know who enjoyed it more, my son or me!

We received this book as a gift and have since bought the whole series for ourselves and other friends. A pop-up book that is full of laughs for young children.

Fun for all ages,

I have a daycare, which ranges from 1 year olds to 6 year olds, and they cannot get enough of this book. They beg me to read it daily. This book is fun for all ages, and the kids are surprised and excited every time we read it. We are planning on getting more of these books.

Sometimes it's just good to be silly,

My daughter wanted this for her birthday. It's a pop-up book that we simply have fun reading together. I think it's good in that it teaches your child that reading is enjoyable.

My kids LOVE this book- the details on the flaps are fabulous- definitely a great gift for a child over age 4.

Sam's Pizza,

I am a third grade teacher and someone who has elementary children around all of the time. I loved the first, second, and fourth books of the series, and I am on second copies of the hamburger book and the original Sam's Sandwich. For creative writing my students make classroom books based on them. I chose not to use Sam's Pizza in my classroom because of the sheep eyeball. I find it too far fetched and gross to use. I am currently using as a prize the latest book written about chocolates stuffed with gross items-my third graders want the reading compatitiion over so they can win it!

This is a fun book with solid rhyming, but...it's not The Sensational Sam Burger. The book is in the shape of a pizza box and Sam and his sister make her a personal pizza, while Sam slips in little tidbits when she's not looking. Sam ought to be put in jail for this nasty trick on his poor sister. Heh...not that she won't get him back...revenge is well, disgusting.
